There are valid criticisms to be made about Keir Starmer’s record as Director of Public Prosecutions (not least his public denial of the devastating impact of the cuts to the CPS). But this is not. MPs and ministers promoting this dishonestly-edited footage should apologise.

I don’t think we can ever really say this enough, but if you’re an NHS worker just coming off shift, or about to go on shift, you have the gratitude of an entire nation. Sending you love and strength and thanks beyond words. None of this will be forgotten.
This lockdown is going to take some processing. Impact on life will be huge. Enforcement is an issue. Three weeks and it will be reviewed. Let’s hope it works through compliance. Desperately needs to work for our NHS.
This is the face of someone who just spent 9 hours in personal protective equipment moving critically ill Covid19 patients around London. I feel broken - and we are only at the start. I am begging people, please please do social distancing and self isolation #covid19
Things I’ve learnt from this week on how to get through it: - Do exercise every day. - Have a shower & get dressed like you’re going to work. - Eat dates with peanut butter. - Don’t watch TV till Boris at 5pm. - Video call your mates. - Don’t set yourself unrealistic goals.
The World Health Organization warns young people: “You are not invincible.” COVID-19 could "put you in hospital for weeks, or even kill you. Even if you don’t get sick, the choices you make about where you go could be the difference between life and death for someone else.”
Boris struck an optimistic tone. But is there a danger people might think “Boris said the tide is turning, so everything is ok”? We all need to follow the very difficult measures if his 12 week timeline is in any way possible.
The Prime Minister and Chief Medical Officer have issued new #CoronavirusOutbreak advice whilst warning we are entering an enormously difficult period. The root of the message: think of others. The #NHS needs our help to save lives and that means taking responsibility. 🙏🏻
I really *don’t* want people to social distance. By all means physically distance but please don’t leave someone all alone with nobody and nothing. Loneliness kills, too. There’s no need to not pick up the phone. I know it’s semantics (perhaps pedantic) but it’s been bugging me.
