@bradchoosefi Nope! Had a 2.5% 30-year mortgage, sold and and moved to the other side of the country on a new 5% mortgage. Not the best financial move, but life is more than just finances and it was a great life decision for our family!
@bradchoosefi We don’t but we track our expenses and pull a monthly report to see how we did and adjust. This is backwards but works for us. We’re not big spenders and are fortunate to have the buffer to support it in when we overspend. We’ve been surprisingly consistent, year in and year out.
1/3 My father lived in Vegas where he played poker for decades. He always won. Not every day, but every year. He was a conservative player - only betting when he had a hand, never pushing pots. He would talk about the young players who rotated in an out of the casinos over time.

@WCInvestor Invested six-figures in my home country right after moving to the U.S. Pulled it out 8 years later. Lost about 50% to currency rate, but made most of it back in investment appreciation. Overall, realized a mild loss + 8 years of opportunity cost. Lesson learned.
