@fasselin94 I don’t know why this just came to me, but the colour reminds me of the dull yellow my highlighter would become after too much use on black ink.

@GameofStonesPod “Ineligible” the day that the competition starts is definitely newsy. And that “no further comment will be made”… 😳

@YTQ Meanwhile our 5 year old gleefully circles everything. Me: “but you already have one of those.” Her: “Yeah, but we can give that away and buy THIS one.” 🤦‍♀️

@CurlingCanada We’ve got our regional qualifier for the Canadian club championship in a week and a half. I wonder how many club curlers competing in this will know and be comfortable with the rule change? Not much lead time…

@_SmashleyB @Devin_Heroux I don’t think sweeping would have helped. His rock rubbed off the yellow guard and lost rotation so it had no spin to grab the pebble. It just coasted sadly outside the rings.

@karhermy @cbccolleenjones Perhaps it was the following year? They wouldn’t have played the provincials in 1998 because they were Team Canada at Scotties. At any rate, to Colleen’s point, the crappy thing is that they now scheduled the Scotties to conflict so that one team can’t compete in both.

@karhermy @cbccolleenjones Actually Schmirler won the Scotties in 1997 so went straight to the 1998 Scotties in Regina as Team Canada. My team played them in the opening draw. 😬 There was a big to-do as part of the opening ceremonies to recognize their performance in Nagano two weeks earlier.

@GameofStonesPod I’ve been fortunate to collect a few awesome curling stories, but that one is by far my best memory. Thanks for letting me re-live it today. 🥌😊 #goteamNB

@GameofStonesPod 4) My home curling club, Thistle St Andrews, was so pumped about me winning the Hot Shots that they gave me my own parking spot at the front door of the club, complete with a massive sign.

@GameofStonesPod 3) I worked with a lovely person at Ford to arrange to get my prize - a Mercury Mystique. That person’s name was Maeve, which is my daughter’s name. 🥰
