@benjaminjriley Why doesn’t @Alphaschool just show the world the kind of data they share with parents? We know why. It would be an utter embarrassment for a school that claims to be at the forefront of technology in education.
Has anyone in the public sphere actually seen Alpha’s “AI”?
@Alphaschool has to use the AI spin, not just as a marketing tactic, but because it is necessary for the marketing claims they are making . After all, they cannot go to the market and say “we are able to teach at Kids at 2X speed in only two hours a day by simply using adaptive apps that have been around for a decade” It’s a scam.

@emily_vallillo If we told you that Alpha School uses the same apps as many other schools (Math Academy, IXL, etc.) And all Alpha does is measure the time spent on lessons and accuracy of assignments, would you call this an AI school?
@emily_vallillo @emily_vallillo have you made a request to tour the school and have they responded?
@burkehenryt Reckless expansion strategy…just like @Alphaschool. Wait until people find out how their campuses have been operated.
@burkehenryt One crooked company, joining another.
@chriscmartell Not to mention Alpha engages in misleading advertising.
We’ve been blocked… @benjaminjriley is everyone aware Austin Scholar is Joe Liemandt’s daughter?
@emily_vallillo @emily_vallillo I could be we wrong, but I doubt they’d let you visit a classroom. If they do, I’d recommend you look into a few things. Happy to share more with you.
@sarah_cone Leave Elizabeth alone to run her little company. Healthcare needs innovation.
@FortuneMagazine @FortuneMagazine time to start asking some tougher questions.
@WayneVaughan @alexanderrusso Exactly. Why doesn’t @Alphaschool just demo their tech to the public…let the public be the judge.
Motivation without expertise is a pep talk. Pretty expensive for $+50k a year.
“High standards, high support” sounds great until the support person has no training on the subject. How are they going to help you in math, reading, literacy??
Alpha hires Guides. That isn’t innovation. It’s a downgrade of the adult in the room. They’re just a motivator with a dashboard.
