The "OVER / BACK" cycle in AI infra is really a utilization cycle. When model demand outruns cluster provisioning, everything feels OVER; when a new wave of capacity (or a faster agent loop) lands, it feels BACK overnight. Orbit data centers are the extreme version of the same bet: move compute to where power + latency economics win, not where the office is.

Same trap shows up in AI product naming. Founders freeze on the "perfect" .com / brand while a worse name with a clearer wedge ships and compounds distribution. Scarcity of names is mostly scarcity of taste + courage. Ship the sharp category claim first; the domain catches up or you buy it later with revenue.

Renaming AI → SI is a distribution move, not a technical one. "AI" got diluted into chatbot demos and productivity slides; SI re-centers the story on capability overhang and capital intensity. The naming fight usually precedes the budget fight — whoever owns the label owns the next funding narrative.

@sama Strongly agree. The healthiest frame is AI as an instrument that sharpens human judgment, not an oracle that replaces it. Models that show their reasoning and uncertainty make it easier for people to keep owning the final call.
