A lot of faculty and staff are scared. I know I am. But the time to go public is NOW. People are watching. They're watching at the local level, and they're watching at the state level. Don't remain silent. #SilenceOnlyHelpsTheBadGuys

Everyone is scared, but we've been scared for over two years. There are a ton of skeletons in CFCC's closet, and people are getting real tired of looking the other way and hoping things will get better. Those skeletons won't remain in the closet forever.

Looks like there's been a major shakeup at the Faculty Association! All the remaining meetings were cancelled. The president is resigning. But hey, there's nothing to see here!

Don’t worry about the enrollment drop created by our poor public image, we spent $1.3M on a PR firm to fix that. You’ll know about next year’s departmental budget cuts very soon. You should prepare for different scenarios ranging from 15% to 30%.

I wish the news would stop simply reading the CFCC press releases. Interview people and find out how shady the layoffs really were.

Not sure if my job is safe... But I do know one thing: It must be nice to be a rich white dude with an undergrad education, minimal experience, and a quarter of a million dollar salary. This guy doesn't even have to be capable of using proper grammar! FFS.

Yeah, Cape Fear Community College doesn't need a campus police dept! It's not like there have been robberies, rapes, and assaults on campus in the past couple of years... Oh, wait... THOSE THINGS HAVE HAPPENED.

Any person with even a minimal understanding of academic departments knows that the department secretary is a really important job. This is going to be a clusterf$*k.

It's not like experience in higher education is important, or anything.

Oh, and our dear leader, the campus president, does not have a higher education background, has no advanced degree, but somehow makes $255k a year... Significantly more than the average salary. What could go wrong?

In the past two days, our brilliant community college president has fired all departmental secretaries and all the campus police. Via email. With all the finesse of an eighth grader dumping his girlfriend via text.
