@Pavisgeet People will look at this scene and still say Aang would have done better against Unavaatu.

@the_pink_lotus_ It's the issue of "Antimagic Prisons". For benders, you need to restrict their movements enough that they can't bend and potentially escape, and preferably, remove any traces of the elements they can bend. ... In Kuvira's case, I would guess her imprisonment is largely voluntary.

@skifrosted @Eleven__11XI ... Because they were hired back just to make a sequel miniseries. IIRC the series was renewed for additional seasons not too long before the first season started airing, and since the movie fiasco and ASH being moved up, we know Nick holds onto these animations for actual years.

@DeeDivayn2Ds Calculus wasn't invented until 1660, by 1930 it was being taught in high schools. Education marches on, each new generation takes to the changing world more intuitively than the last, and a lot changes in 300 years.

@Whistle23xD @WastelandBaby91 @Pavisgeet I mean. Firebenders. I think the implication from Gyatso's corpse being preserved for 100 years is that he suffocated everyone in the room in a suicide attack, so none of them got the chance to cremate him. The rest, very dead.

@WastelandBaby91 @Pavisgeet Gyatso was sitting alone on a throne of corpses. During SOZIN'S COMET. It's implied they were, in fact, moving like this during the 1 day of the war they were in. But they were also ridiculously outnumbered, on top of the comet buff, so it wasn't enough.

@Chileta_ Even Ozai wasn't using blue flames. Azula was able to use it because she was a prodigy, not because she was royal. Nothing prevents someone else from using it – and this is important now! – almost 300 years later.

@fanikuart * Yes. Lightningbending was previously only taught to members of the royal family, to keep power. After Zuko became Firelord, he made big changes to education. * Zaheer was doing that as a novice. It's implied many times that if Airbenders weren't pacifists, they'd be menaces.

@lionheart_mck * She was 17. Stop acting like Aang would have done better at her age. * She was attacked, Raava's spirit was ripped out of her against her will, and she *fought like hell* to prevent that. It's easily the most disturbing scene in the franchise. This is victim-blaming.

@Itssan17 * Wanda's Chaos Magic was able to create actual souls that floated around after the Hex went down * Billy inherited Wanda's magic, so his soul was able to jump and possess a nearby fresh corpse * Years later, Billy used his magic to find Tommy's soul and do the same, but farther

@TOPAv05 @autmncomes Not "Evil" spirits. Neglected, justifiably upset spirits who were seeing red. If someone stole YOUR home, you might be violent too. Would that make you Evil? And it doesn't help that killing a spirit also literally erodes your life force, so it's also just bad *for you*.

@TOPAv05 @autmncomes I don't think the image-maker made this based on how the people in-universe perceive the Avatars, they just wrote it based on audience knowledge. Kuruk wasn't responsible for Yangchen's failures, but he didn't exactly feel great about being forced to kill his spirit charges.

@TOPAv05 @autmncomes So, Yangchen focused almost entirely on the human world and neglected her simultaneous duty to the spirits, even siding against them many times. As a result, Kuruk spent most of his life quietly killing Dark Spirits and drinking to dull his pain. He died young as a result.

@Pascaliitoo Why are you saying she's MASTERED them? The twins have learned HOW to bend them, but only the most basic techniques. Pavi seems to only be able to airbend by punching or sneezing. That's like saying Meelo was a master airbender.

@Allam_5pain Two, 3 books of ATLA and the 1st book of LoK were about the journey of learning how to bend each element and the philosophies behind them. We as an audience don't need to see that every time. There is no utility to showing us that repeated beat. They want to move on to the story.

@Allam_5pain Two things. One, Aang was a *master* of his element by age 12, and of the other 3 elements within a year. While they *can* bend multiple elements early, Pavi and Nisha are struggling with basic techniques, and it took Korra until she was 16 to master 3.

@SamsonArtCorner Avatars often struggle with the element that is their ideological opposite, like Aang struggling not to run away or Korra struggling with the spiritual side. "Often". There is no hard rule. The twins are pretty young, harmonious, and their main blockage is fear of discovery.

@huskerpower9495 @Ayesha_Khan167 They don't even turn the MRIs off because it would be more expensive to turn them back on. You wouldn't get that close and *then* have the scissors fly away – they don't let anything metal *in the room* with the machine. Also those scissors have 3 handles, so, obviously AI.
