I paid roughly $100 for a courtside ticket to see the them play the Liberty that year. Now a courtside ticket is about 15-20x that amount
She’s not far off on the barn comment. In 2022, the Fever played at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum, a state-fairgrounds arena opened in 1939 as part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Works Progress Administration (part of the New Deal).
@Bachscore it hasn't improved much since. It's a sad place for a D1 team to play (IU-Indy's home), never mind a WNBA team. Attendance was so poor in 2021 (mostly played in IFC) that according to Across the Timeline, the Fever didn't even release it that year. I don't miss it at all.
The state of college sports in 2024: Talks are ongoing. Details are sparse. Nothing is imminent. They should put it on a bumper sticker.
