The FBI continues to warn about two critical security flaws in PHP, a programming language used to build many websites and online services. Attackers could exploit these vulnerabilities to break into systems, putting sensitive information and business operations at risk. Security updates are available and should be applied immediately. If you are a business owner or website operator, check whether your systems are affected. Contact your IT support team, website developer, or hosting provider for help identifying vulnerable systems and applying the necessary updates. The FBI urges organizations to take the following steps now: ➡️ If an immediate update is not feasible it is recommended that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. ➡️ Immediately update affected PHP installations following the guidance on php.net. Inventory where PHP runs in your environment, prioritizing internet-facing systems and vendor products that bundle PHP. ➡️ Monitor web servers for suspicious activity, including PHP processes unexpectedly launching command shells or downloading files. Ensure appropriate process-monitoring capabilities are in place to help identify potential exploitation. ➡️ If you find signs of compromise, isolate affected systems, preserve your web server and PHP logs, and report it to your local FBI field office or ic3.gov. Those reports help us identify the actors involved and warn other organizations before they become victims. For the latest information on these vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619), follow PHP’s announcements on php.net, CERT-EU Security Advisory 2026-018, and CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.

Every website wants a new password with a capital letter, a number, a symbol, and the tears of a unicorn. Then it says "New password can't match your old password." Friend, I don't REMEMBER the old password. That's the whole reason I'm here. #PetPeeve

Fun fact: No. 2 BYU is the highest-ranked team ever to visit the Bounce House in its 20 years. UCF picked us for their homecoming game. Bold. That's like inviting your dad to prom and hoping he doesn't dance. I'll be in Orlando Saturday, and yes, I'm dancing. #GoCougs

Numbers we've never seen before. Moments that will never be forgotten. I've been working on reports since Saturday, and it's all just pretty remarkable. Very thankful for an incredible team on the field and an incredible team behind the scenes to help make this happen.

🚨 BREAKING: The University of Houston has reported it will wear its “Luv Ya Blue” uniforms against Utah. The move is said to be part of a Big 12 initiative to help the Utes become more comfortable playing against Cougars ahead of their annual Holy War matchup. Utah is 0-6 vs UH

64 players on the No. 2 college football team in the country spent two years as missionaries, in 29 different countries, speaking 15 different languages. Matt has a phenomenal dive into that.

Before going to the BYU/Notre Dame game last weekend, I made an unexpected pit stop: The Provo Missionary Training Center. On trying to understand how the system fits with athletics, and making peace with my return visit: extrapointsmb.com/p/a-second-tri…

Orlando, round two! 🏈 I was in the stands at the Bounce House in 2024 when the Cougs beat UCF 37-24, and I'm heading back Saturday to see No. 2 BYU (6-0) do it again. The Cougs lead the series 4-1, so let's bring a little Provo magic to Florida. 🌴💙 #GoCougs

Airplane bathroom engineers: you've built a jet that flies at 35,000 feet, but you can't make a toilet seat stay up for 8 seconds? I'm holding the seat, holding the wall, and praying for no turbulence. ✈️🚽 #PetPeeve
