$50 million is enough to provide a #basicincome to 1,000 veterans for 4 years. It could be done as a demonstration to show how having an income floor above the poverty line is hugely beneficial for veteran health, both mental and physical. You know, instead of a fucking parade.

For those unfamiliar with the idea of land value taxation, I recommend spending some time learning more about it, as I consider it to be an optimal funding method for #basicincome implementations. In the US, we could start with a 1% LVT and go from there. medium.com/economicsecpro…

I really wish #BasicIncome advocates would be all hands on deck for #SNAP. Take a lead from the #SinglePayer #MedicareForAll advocates who saw common cause and acted in solidarity to protect #Medicaid #Obamacare despite them not being their ideal policy preferences. #HandsOff
