This is a tectonic shift: "I want to own zero fixed income... I probably have some basket of gold, bitcoin, commodities and Nasdaq." The US fixed income market is ~$50T. If just a small portion of the market agrees, trillions will be leaving fixed income and looking for a new home... like Bitcoin.

El Salvador's #Bitcoin investments are in the black! After literally thousands of articles and hit pieces that ridiculed our supposed losses, all of which were calculated based on #Bitcoin’s market price at the time... With the current #Bitcoin market price, if we were to sell our #Bitcoin, we would not only recover 100% of our investment but also make a profit of $3 620 277.13 USD (as of this moment). Of course, we have no intention of selling; that has never been our objective. We are fully aware that the price will continue to fluctuate in the future, this doesn’t affect our long-term strategy. Nonetheless, it is important that the naysayers and the authors of those hit pieces take back their statements. The responsible thing to do would be for them to issue retractions, offer apologies, or, at the very least, acknowledge that El Salvador is now yielding a profit, just as they repeatedly reported that we were incurring losses. If they consider themselves true journalists, they should report this new reality with the same intensity they reported the previous one. We’ll see… Stay tuned!

The fact that Satoshi: 1) published the Bitcoin white paper before he launched it, 2) kept it on track for 2 years with upgrades, 3) disappeared without ever spending his own coins for profit, and 4) had such skill that people can't prove his identity, is... remarkable.

So looked into the Zhu Su arrest a bit more and it was for contempt - i.e. not cooperating with liquidators and providing requested information. Bit surprising because its rare to see such a long sentence for contempt of court. Normally fine or slap on wrist night in jail.

There we go. Without proving in a court of law that these tokens are "securities" the SEC may be able to restrict access to them anyway. Just arbitrarily accuse these tokens of being a security in a lawsuit and exchanges start to kowtow to your whims. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
