If your blog/website/business cannot survive in the real world, serving real human beings, without traffic from Google, then you never had a business to start with.

I have a question...if Google went bankrupt or decided to stop search as a product, what would you do if you rely on them for traffic? Maybe it is time to accept that it is rather risky or foolish to have your entire business model based on Google...they will mess you up!

When cars were invented, all horse owners had to find a new business model...sports like polo are now premium sports This is the mindset bloggers should have... If Google has changed the game, adapt and create something else that still provides value to your target audience.

You can still succeed with a blog, just not the way it was working before. Build a real business, and leverage content strategy. Do not build just a content site alone...that might not work

Recent Google actions regarding traffic makes a powerfu case for having your own email list. You need to ensure you have some of the traffic on a platform you own in terms of reach. Relying on Google alone seems to be a very risky business strategy.

Site owners are being conditioned to change behaviours by Google, and one thing is for sure, when you get punished for something at a personal level, you have no choice but to behave...that is what will happen. People will create content with a little bit more caution now!

You do not need a lot traffic to make money with your blog...or YouTube channel. You need the right business model. Traffic only enhances your model.

Is it possible that HCU was not as bad as many made it seem? Let us assume 20% of sites were affected....and 80% of sites were not affected. Could it be the 20% made so much noise that we assumed everyone was affected? 😂😂

Google's HCU has destroyed lots of sites...but that is a good thing. And here is why: Google is killing the idea of content creators just copying each other to rank. ...where one just copies the top ranked posts. Now, you need to really be original to get traffic from Google.

The ongoing Google's update is an example of why diversification is a good idea in business One can lose 80% of traffic to trash websites. While there will be a reversal, hope we are learning to build alternative ways to reach our audiences like email marketing etc etc
