A Jewish friend was walking down the street wearing something that identified him as Jewish when someone grabbed his shirt and started yelling in his face. The guy wasn’t speaking English, but kept saying “Palestine” and anti-Jewish stuff. First time I’ve seen my friend genuinely scared to look Jewish. Explain how grabbing a random Jewish guy on the street helps Palestine. It’s anti-Semitic harassment.

In case you didn’t realize it, Jews are really tired of having to have armed security at all of our synagogues, schools and community centers and being attacked in the streets because y’all have lost your fucking minds.

The conspiracy theories around the flydubai attack are a lesson in how antisemitism works. Start with the conclusion: the Jews are guilty. Then work backwards. A plane full of Israelis is nearly brought down? It must have been staged by Israel. The passengers fight back and save themselves? They must have been in on it. The facts don’t fit the theory? That only proves how elaborate the conspiracy really is. This is the insanity of antisemitism. It doesn’t need evidence because it is designed to explain away evidence. Jews can be victims and somehow emerge as perpetrators. They can be attacked and somehow be blamed for the attack.

The more I am here, the more I come to realize we Israelis are indeed different than most of you. Not better, just different We look at life differently, we take things in proportion, we make jokes at our own pain, and we are much more chill, despite what you’ve been told Maybe it’s because we are drafted right out high school unlike other countries, and while most of you are probably backpacking through Europe, and go to college Or maybe it’s because we meet terror and death from a young age, but learn to appreciate life, instead of worship death or cultivate revenge from birth Maybe We just get to experience “grownup life” in a much extensive and faster way than “Normal”. In reality, most of us get to see the good and ugly in life, way before most of you can legally drink in your countries. Maybe this what helps us take life in proportion We live with constant wars and terror, but we also refuse to let that define us or live in chaos and fear, so we do the opposite! We dance, we sing, we love, we live…and in between we also invent cool stuff While some countries obsess about a football match, we obsess about our families, our country, our security, our kids, our future, and yes also the world, which we proven over and over with offering assistance even to our enemies We don’t have time to deal with nonsensical, trivial stuff, or get constantly offended, and we certainly don’t have time to deal with your emotions Take for example these past 3 years. No country on this planet has been subjected to the amount of pressure, propaganda and hate as we were…but do you think we dwell on that? Of course not! we don’t have that privilege or time to get offended by every person from a far away land that never spoken to an Israeli in person and thinks their opinion matters to us That’s why you can boycott us, trash on us and seclude us…it will just make us do better, work harder, improve faster, and become much stronger Israelis are diamonds in the rough We are forged by pressure…it just makes us shine much brighter And you, you can do your worst We really couldn’t care less 🇮🇱

They hear a ruckus in the cockpit, smash the door open, save the captain who has been stabbed by the co-pilot, subdue and neutralize him, then they commandeer the plane and land it.
