My take home of today’s hearing is that it went very well for thorp. In addition to introducing myself to thorp, one of his lawyers, and a member of the communications team from science, I also introduced myself to the reporter from Science covering the hearing - I asked him if he could see him covering the hearing as a conflict of interest and he acknowledged that he could understand why… sadly I expect him to write a hit piece against the Republicans on the committee- though I don’t know why - the republicans treated thorp very well - meanwhile - an honest reporter would cover how the democrats on the committee just gaslit the public the whole hearing - sad
@Bryce_Nickels Did he mention Baric? So why does he only name Daszak for not disclosing Defuse? Thorp was the Chancellor of NC University where Baric works. Surprisingly Thorp also seems to have taken the EIC Science on Aug 19, 2019! What a timing!
@Bryce_Nickels Were there afterparties? 🖐🙂
Somewhat incredulous how the Democrats feel the incessant need to protect Fauci, in complete disregard to FOIA'd, released and subpoenaed documents demonstrating that Fauci did indeed lie and purposely mislead investigations. Then these Democrats have the gall to accuse anyone else of being political plus wonder why people have lost faith in institutions. Surreal. They live in an alternative universe.
@Bryce_Nickels Good of Nickels to take the trouble to attend. But I do not know why they had that hearing, what could possibly have been gained? We need the actual lab leak acknowledged. That must be the focus, everything else is a distraction from the truth.
@Bryce_Nickels "forward-looking". This is now the operating byword of @COVIDSelectDems .
@Bryce_Nickels I agree, it went quite well for him. It is always welcome when the truth comes closer.
