“I’m just getting into my prime. I haven’t reached it.” No RB should feel that at 29. Except Aaron Jones rushed 100 yards 3 straight games for first time. He hasn’t felt this good in January since ‘19. Maybe not giving him ball more actually paid off. packersnews.com/story/sports/n…
Asked Aaron Jones what he wants next season: “I hope it’s the same role. Be a leader of the team. Help these guys in this locker room, even the young guys coming in, we’ll still have a young team next year. Just to b here and continue to compete with them, and continue to build.”
@ByRyanWood Ryan? Is it crazy to think he gets a contract extension? I’m starting to think that is way way more likely than him not being on the team
@ByRyanWood Grossly underused by MM and MLF--how they can totally forget he's there is beyond me
@ByRyanWood The difference between Jones + Dillon is the difference between the #Packers offense being really good and really bad. With Jones playing like this I love green bay’s chances in Dallas. It just feels like momentum is on our side.
@ByRyanWood but how times after loses, some very big, did we ask "why didn't 33 get the ball more?" it clearly didn't "pay off."
@ByRyanWood It was calculated all along. Wait till rodgers leaves and then unleash AJ
@ByRyanWood I mean Raheem Mostert is 31 and just had his best season of his career
@ByRyanWood Wow, you mean that Matt who has shown this year to be one of the brightest offensive coaches in football might know what’s he’s doing?!
@ByRyanWood Man, I’d be happy to have him in Green Bay for the next decade. Kind of joking, but I’m in zero hurry to see him leave. The ultimate Green Bay Packers player and even better as a human off the field.
@ByRyanWood I've been saying for 2 years that MLF has perfected the use of the modern running back. He has married usage with longevity flawlessly. Jones is giving the same production as other guys on significantly fewer snaps.
