This semester we've been hard at work developing and designing AEOS, a sharp edge removal system for the International Space Station. We would love for you to help support us in our research by donating - any amount helps! tinyurl.com/microg-givingd…

AEOS will cover sharp edges with a simple, 3D printed clip.
The Autonomous Edge Overlay System detects and covers sharp edges on the outside of the ISS that endanger astronauts
This year, we're designing a tool to make EVA handrails safer for astronauts to use.
We got to visit Boynton Middle today to share what engineering is like with some students!

Yesterday #MicrogNExT teams had the opportunity to meet Neutral Buoyancy Lab (NBL) divers & see them work. The highlight of the day for the @Cornell team was seeing an astronaut exit the pool! Today @NASA divers will test the student-designed-and-built spacewalk tools in the NBL!
Things are starting to come together
We're almost ready for Houston (just need a little more speed)!
The icy moons our tool would explore can get below -200°C!
