I’m so ashamed of this as someone with a Vietnamese last name. Thankfully I can hide behind the fact that I’m technically American. I feel bad for the Vietnamese here who are hardworking and do follow the rules. Vietnam definitely is not sending their best to Japan.

I have seen similar posters in Osaka drugstores that were written in Vietnamese. Drugstores are top targets of Vietnamese shoplifting because their Japanese branded products can be resold at high prices in Vietnam.

What’s interesting is that just 10-15 years ago, Chinese people in Japan were like the Vietnamese, and stereotyped as a poor criminal class, but have now become famous as rich high flyers buying up Japan’s real estate and going on spending sprees in Japanese department stores

This was also my experience before getting married. 1/2 of the dates were boring as hell. The other half seemed good then radio silence after a few days. Basically every girl wants a top 10 percent dude. High height, high salary, good looks. Rinse and repeat. Dating apps are hell
