This is incredible competition from AMD. They now beat Nvidia in both speed and price for inference. They just need to catch up with robust software - with time, it looks like they will beat Nvidia in the performance/cost trade-off. community.amd.com/t5/instinct-ac…

That's it, switching from OpenAI to @perplexity_ai. It's simply better in my experience. Now with GPT-4 Turbo, the ChatGPT experienced has dropped for my coding tasks and an effective search for context that Perplexity leverages gives me more accurate answers.

China has the upper hand, US could be forced into an ugly recession. China has enormous savings. 1) Export inflation to US by forcing spending by law 2) Pull investments out of US companies 3) Invade Taiwan Xi playing chess, Biden sleeping, Russia+Saudi cut oil production.

If there is one thing to learn in life, it’s that when people point fingers at others, it’s usually a deflection of their own inadequacies. US government and media pointing fingers at China is a great example. A real crisis is brewing in the US.

So @OpenAI just acquired a company that has senior engineers from gaming companies like Riot Games and tech companies like Google and Facebook. The devs they acquired made a game @biomesgg in a web browser, so maybe next stage is ai + gaming (+maybe crypto (worldcoin))?

Traders that think “You missed X move” are about to have a reality check when markets come crashing down after being long only. This mentality is dangerous. Every time you try to catch a move, you risk portfolio drawdown in an uncontrolled manner.

The ongoing war between Binance and Tether is scary for the future of crypto. I wonder if one of them falling will lead to both falling. Uncomfortably, I must admit that currently the safest place to keep my money is in a bank account. I used to believe otherwise.
