I cheated, and when my husband found out, I thought my boyfriend would be excited. Instead, he blocked me and disappeared. My husband let me stay because he said our children needed their mother. I was hopeful. I thought with time, we could find our way back to each other. But as the months passed, he became more distant. He talks to other women on the phone right in front of me, like I don’t exist. Some nights, he doesn’t come home. He offers no explanation, and when I ask questions, he acts like I no longer have the right to ask. A year later, exhausted and confused, I left home. He didn’t stop me. He didn’t argue or ask me to reconsider. He barely reacted. But I came back because of the children, still hoping something might change. I know I caused the damage, but I’m exhausted. I’m tired of hoping and guessing if I’m still his wife or just the mother of his children. Is there still something here worth fighting for, or is it time for me to finally leave? - - - From my DM, share some advice for her.

A public healthcare system worth Ksh 104 billion with its entire operational architecture outsourced to private firms with several opaque ownership structures. What this means is; 1. Claims management, digital infrastructure, data exchange, ICT systems, payment processing, and digital wallets essentially every critical function sits outside public control. SHA itself becomes a coordination shell while private entities control the actual money movement. 2. Where are the extraction points? Each firm takes a cut. CarePay processes claims-fee. Finsprint reconciles payments - 2% before hospitals receive anything. M-TIBA manages wallets - transaction fees. Multiply these across all the firm's annually. 3. The accountability gap When SHA fails, claims rejected, hospitals unpaid, patients denied care, responsibility diffuses across six private entities, each pointing at the others. No single accountable point. Audit trails distributed across proprietary systems government doesn't fully control or own. 4. The beneficial ownership question Finsprint has no verifiable majority shareholder address. How many of the other five have similar opacity? Who actually owns the infrastructure running Kenya's national healthcare system? This isn't digital transformation. It's privatization of public money flow to entities whose ownership connects back to the same political networks that designed the architecture. SHA was never about healthcare. The audit just showed us the plumbing.
