Good News! Based on the DPP Ministerial Statement issued during MC13, 78 WTO members outline principles and actions to tackle plastic pollution through trade-related cooperation.

China formally accepted the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies on 27 June. Minister of Commerce of China, Mr. Wang Wentao deposited the instrument of acceptance to WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala while in Tianjin for the Summer Davos.
China held a Seminar on "Energy Transition and the Role of Trade Policy" at WTO on June 13. China shared its experiences on energy transition and exchanged views with WTO members on ways to achieve global low-carbon development through optimizing international trade environment.
WTO Dialogue on Plastics Pollution and Environmentally Sustainable Plastics Trade holds its second regular meeting in 2023 to spearhead effort and unveil vision and elements for potential outcome for MC13.
China and EU signed the Agreement on the Modification of EU’s Schedule on TRQ Post-Brexit. The signing not only marks a successful conclusion to over four years of negotiations but helps to develop mutually beneficial and win-win bilateral economic and trade relations.
Today marks the 21st Anniversary of China’s Accession to the WTO. This is an important day worth celebrating both for China and WTO. Looking ahead, China will continue to honor its commitments and work together with other members to revitalize WTO through necessary reform.
