You have to wonder where all the money for legal is coming from if councils are broke. The tribunal is supposed to be a parent friendly easy process so why is it friendly and easy enough for a parent to do unaided but they have got to bring in pricey hired help on the taxpayer…

I know so many disabled people that want to work but can't find appropriate or suitable employment. there seems to be an emphasis on getting disabled people back into work rather than what do we need to change about the labour market or employers approach to disability

Unusually strong language from the LGSCO on SEND in their annual review of complaints. Education complaints made up 26% of all LGSCO complaints in 2023-24. Fault found in 92% of these complaints and they say “the numbers are increasingly rapidly”. lgo.org.uk/assets/attach/…

This LA-funded report states that we need to change the legal definition of SEND, scrap tribunals and scrap the law that protects our most vulnerable children. Apparently nobody is doing anything wrong, our kids just have too many rights… 🧵
