TOP THREE LEADERS LIST Are you one of the TOP 3: ✅ hardest workers? ✅ best teammates? ✅ most competitive? ✅ most mentally tough? ✅ most enthusiastic? ✅ most optimistic? ✅ most accountable? ✅ most coachable? ✅ most trustworthy? ✅ most respected? #CultureWins
When you’re playing against a superior opponent, remember that you don’t need to be better than them overall. You just need to be better than them for one day. Let this give you confidence as an underdog.
If you think you don’t need to improve your attitude, then you probably need to improve your attitude. Don’t let your ego get in the way of your growth. No matter how good you are, there’s always room for improvement.
Before you act, breathe into the space between stimulus and response, and make the choice to be the person you most want to be, not mindlessly fueled by anger or anxiety, but grounded in self-compassion and intention.
What's easy doesn't lead to success. What's convenient doesn't lead to winning. What's comfortable doesn't lead to championships. If you want to separate yourself from the competition, DO THE HARD, INCONVENIENT, and UNCOMFORTABLE THINGS on a regular basis. #CultureWins
Our inner voice is rarely neutral or dispassionate. Your thoughts are doing their job—attempting to protect you. The key is to find the space between the thinker and the thought, the emotion and the action. You own your thoughts. They don't own you.
When we parent, do we role model traits that hurt or build our players potential?
7 things that will hurt your team: 1. Energy Vampires 2. Complaining 3. Ego 4. Selfishness 5. Jealousy 6. Resentment 7. Pessimism 7 things that will help your team: 1. Love 2. Encouragement 3. Vulnerability 4. Selflessness 5. Unity 6. Communication 7. Optimism
5 REGRETS Players can Have: ▪️Not putting in the time ▪️Thinking the Grass is Greener elsewhere ▪️Not buying into TEAM ▪️Not accepting their ROLE ▪️Thinking coaches were out to get them Don’t live with regret. Do the work -> Appreciate your team -> Accept your role.
Here's a toss of the hat to these little turkeys. Let's go girls!!
Strikers 2010 Girls Premier team got into the Halloween spirit by finding inspiration for their costumes from Coach Ward! Have a fun and safe Halloween. 👻
To succeed as an athlete, you need to balance urgency with patience. Work hard every day, but don't rush the process.
WE NEED YOU TO LEAD WHEN: #LeadershipMatters #CultureWins
It's just fine to have opportunities for growth. This is a time where kids can learn, grow, gain confidence, set a standard in their lives where challenges are something to embrace and enthusiastically take on. Let the kids fail, let them learn, help them grow.
SEEK THE TRUTH 🎯 The video doesn't lie. 🎯 The stats don't lie. 🎯 The scoreboard doesn't lie. 🎯 The standings don't lie. 🧐 Examine and admit where you are. 🤔 Analyze why you're there. 📈 Plan how you're going to improve. 💪🏻 Put in the work to get there. #CultureWins
WANT TO WIN? 🛑 Stop the excuses. 🛑 Stop the blaming. 🛑 Stop the complaining. 🛑 Stop the selfishness. 🛑 Stop the laziness. 🛑 Stop the conflict. 🛑 Stop the cliques. 🛑 Stop the things that cause you to lose and you'll start to win. #CultureWins
Courage is not about the absence of fear but rather walking in the direction of your fears, step by step.
LEADERS IMPACT THE CULTURE 🎯 Leaders create the culture. 🎯 Leaders change the culture. 🎯 Leaders embody the culture. 🎯 Leaders endorse the culture. 🎯 Leaders enforce the culture. STRONG LEADERS = STRONG CULTURE weak leaders = weak culture #CultureWins #LeadersMatter
Instead of asking children "WHAT do you want to BE when you grow up?" ask - "WHO do you want to be?" We are not defined by our jobs. When we ask who children want to be, we encourage values, character and personal responsibility.
