I've never once found a file on my computer by remembering its name. it's always scrolling, or guessing, or giving up. So, I built LocalFind to fix that. it uses semantic search across your documents, photos, audios and videos. There is also a local agent included for asking questions about your files without anything leaving your machine. MCP is also included, if you want tools like Claude Desktop searching your computer semantically instead and answering off of the result. You can try it out here: github.com/nonsodev/local…

A very powerful supplication to be made if in distress. While doing it, ponder over how great the heaven, earth and the throwns are then contemplate on how great the creator of these things would be. This should help you realize that your worry and distress is very miniscule compared to the greatness of your lord. May Allaah benefit me and you with it

We should have some hidden good deeds that no one knows about except Allah. When Allah rewards those deeds on the Day of Judgment in front of people, others will feel amazed and wish they had done the same, wondering what actions earned such a great reward.

This is the opening ceremony of the 2022 World Cup. This was the World Cup everyone claimed Qatar couldn't pull off, but they ended up hosting arguably the best, most organised World Cup in recent memory. The Quran recitation and the calm atmosphere gave it a unique feel never seen before. Now, we wait to see what the upcoming tournament in North America will bring. The bar has been set incredibly high, and it is going to take a lot more than the usual American corporate and media hype to match this level of soul and standard.

Posted this day in 2025 Sheikh Abu Naasir It suffices as a lesson to learn this Dua. This Dua is so important, I hope before next weekend we all learn this Dua. It worth more than a million dollars, I'm sure if we say if you learn it before next weekend you will get a million dollars, everyone on this platform will learn it. Just as the Prophet did to Aisha, I will also take some time to teach my home the Dua this morning, I hope you too will teach your family, the husband should teach their wives, you can also teach your friend. It is a powerful Dua. Let's us all learn it. 🔖 *Transliteration* Allāhumma innī as-aluka mina'l-khayri kullihī 'ājillihī wa'ājilihī, mā 'alimtu minhu wa mā lam a‘lam, wa a'ūdhu bika mina' sh-sharri kullihī ‘ājilihī wa 'ājilihī mā 'alimtu minhu wa mā lam a'lam. I have a sincere plea to my brothers in the deen Strive for a home established upon the deen ,guard the women under you (your mums and sisters inclusive ). There is nothing that beant a home establishes on the dictate of your Rabb. Teach and encourage where necessary.

I'll recommend this brother to read these two books by ibn qayyim 1. The disease and the cure 2. عدة الصابرين (I don't know if the English is available) They contain tremendous benefits for anyone seeking to leave sins and turn to Allaah. May Allaah keep us steadfast

Brother, I see your message and I feel the weight of it. The first thing I want you to look at is that exhaustion. You said you are tired and you need help. That guilt tearing you up inside is a big sign your heart is still very much alive. Al-Imam Ibn al-Qayyim explained this

I really want to commend the sender's courage. Acknowledging that you have a problem and seeking help is the hardest step in breaking any addiction. This is a very common struggle, especially in today's hyper-sexualized world. Let me address this in two parts: why it is prohibited, and how to practically break free. First, why and how is it haram? The vast majority of Islamic scholars rule that masturbation is prohibited based on a very clear principle established in the Quran. In Surah Al-Mu'minun, Allah describes the traits of the successful believers, saying: وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ (And they who guard their private parts). He then makes the only exception for their spouses, and concludes with a definitive ruling: فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ (But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors). The scholars explain that "seeking beyond that" includes any form of intentional sexual release outside the bounds of marriage. Islam regulates our desires not to punish us, but to protect our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being from being enslaved to our base instincts. Now, for the second part: how do you stop the addiction? Addiction to masturbation is essentially a dopamine loop. From experience, you cannot break it with just willpower. You need a practical and spiritual system. First of all, you need to apply the Prophetic prescription. The Prophet (peace be upon him) advised young people who cannot get married to fast. This is because fasting physically weakens the driving force of the desire and builds immense spiritual discipline. It trains your body to say "no" to lawful food, which makes it easier to say "no" to unlawful desires. Secondly, you must starve your triggers. Just as Imam Ibn-l-Qayyim said, the eyes is the window to the soul. Your urge is triggered by what you consume. If you are constantly looking at soft-porn on Instagram, TikTok, or movies, your brain will eventually demand a release. Lower your gaze, both physically and digitally. What you do not feed will eventually starve. Again, you need to eliminate the environment of sin. The devil thrives in isolation. Most relapses happen when you are alone, bored, and have a screen in your hand. Do not take your phone into the bathroom. Do not stay up late alone in your room with the lights off. Sleep early. If you feel the urge coming, physically leave the room and sit where people are. Finally, never let Shaytan use your sin to push you away from Allah. Recovery is a journey. If you slip and fall, do not stay on the ground thinking you are a hypocrite. That is exactly what Shaytan wants. Make Wudu immediately, pray two Raka'at of Tawbah, and start again. Allah does not expect you to be flawless; He expects you to keep fighting and returning to Him. I pray this works for you.

❌ The way people freelance amazes me. Lols. Don’t dive into skills with a steep learning curve if your goal is to start earning quickly. Some skills are long-term plays and others are short-term income drivers. 🆘 Short-term skills will fetch you money fast, but they’re not the best foundation for a long-term career. That’s where the complex, high-barrier skills come in. Cybersecurity, cloud computing, data science, and ML/AI fall into this category. Studies consistently show that these fields require longer ramp-up times but offer stronger earning trajectories and higher market durability ✅ If you’re learning any of these, pair them with adjacent skills. For instance, you’ll need Linux for both cloud and cybersecurity and there is a growing market for freelance Linux administration and automation roles ✅ Those learning full-stack or frontend web development can realistically add Framer or Webflow to start earning earlier. Low-code tools still dominate freelance demand on most platforms. Data analytics students can offer Google Sheets automation because spreadsheet workflows remain one of the most outsourced micro-tasks globally ✅ Product designers should pick up thumbnail design, ad creatives, or landing-page UI kits, all high-volume deliverables in the creator and e-commerce economy. ✅ You’re in this industry for money. It becomes frustrating and discouraging when months go by without cashflow not because you’re not talented, but because you didn’t balance a long-term skill with a short-term income stream. Work smart.
