@elshayib_ The neighbourhood needs to defend itself better using AI. If a local ai can hack it, its security team can find it too. Why do people believe that this is a new problem? Your defense was always supposed to be better than attacker. Nothing has changed in this regard
@ishuagra02 When I have to use codex reset, I use up all my weekly quota in a few hours. Which is not difficult to do given how much usage it costs. Then when I do the reset I get almost a week of extra usage in codex as well.
@hany99dev As much as it saddens me to say this but openAI is digging its own grave. I have kind of given up on them for now. I’m moving on to other things. I had a cursor subscription and I’m using opus 5.5 as the orchestrator and grok 4.7 as the implementer. It’s going far better than Sol
@aschapmann Reddit marketing doesn’t work anymore. Reddit is very proactive in managing self promo. Most sub reddits ban any kind of promotion instantly.
@michael_kove I don’t see any products or services getting substantially better either. If anything, I see more slop everywhere. I have not yet felt, “wow my favourite product is just shipping new features faster”
@forgebitz Have you ever been to a company where employees are unrestricted? They use fable for generating commit messages. Employees have no incentive to use the most efficient model for the job. Would let them use a box with 1tb ram as their dev box if 32gb is enough?
@blueemi99 This release was a big shock for me too. Somehow I lost all confidence in open AI. I don’t know why, it’s just a gut feeling. It’s going to be a very bad holiday season for open AI I suspect. Anthropic is going to crush in Q4. Which is not good, we don’t want one lab to runaway
@kelechisp Plus it is almost impossible to fully express my desires in prompts. Who wants to type and explain so much? Why do AI companies forget that AI can’t yet read my mind. And expressing everything in words is exhausting.

@mattpocockuk That’s fair. I agree that the environment and the harness you put around the model is very important. And because you can tailor it according to your own use cases, it would be very effective. And having a super powerful model under your harness helps a lot.
