Just as I predicted, Tennessee's published guidelines state that opioids should be considered a last resort for chronic noncancer pain
Stay away from these horrible pain clinics
Tennessee just rewrote its pain-clinic rules. The Tennessee Pain Society worked with state lawmakers and the Tennessee Medical Association to ease paperwork burdens on pain physicians while keeping patient protections intact.

Chronic pain patients are expected to be sick, but never difficult.
Be exhausted, but stay pleasant.
Be scared, but don’t sound anxious.
Explain your pain, but don’t sound emotional.
Ask for help, but don’t ask too firmly.
The moment we show frustration, it can become the story.
Suddenly the focus shifts from what we’re dealing with to whether we’re being “cooperative” enough.
That’s a cruel standard to put on people who are already hurting.
We shouldn’t have to perform perfect calm to deserve to be heard.
The percentage of pain patients who become "addicted" after being treated with opioids remains at 0.01%-1.4% depending upon the report. Far lower than the government narrative! And NOBODY dies from taking their pain meds as prescribed!

Two Ole Miss students died. “Kratom” made headlines before toxicology was available.
What did investigators actually know—and when?
We followed the evidence, court filings, and changing narrative.
The Headline Came Before the Toxicology.

Another fresh amputee denied post-op pain medication.
Patient Email:
"In November of last year, 2025, I had my right leg amputated because 2 of my 3 arteries were 97% blocked. At my follow up appointment a week and a half later(when my post op pain meds had run out) I went to go visit my dr for a follow up and to ask for more pain meds. Before I could even finish getting the words pain meds out of my mouth I was interrupted with "ABSOLUTELY NOT." I sat back stunned, I'd just had my leg cut off less than 2 weeks ago. I asked why not, to which he replied "That's not what we do here."
The formidable Richard Lawhern, PhD, speaking about "Red Flags in Medicine and Law Enforcement," and the continuedalicious prosecution of our pain doctors by the out-of-control DEA/DOJ, who continue to IGNORE both the 2022 SCOTUS Decision in Ruan v. United States and the May 9, 2025 Executive Order that both require a two-part test (including a mens rea component) to establish guilt on the part of a doctor prescribing pain medications.

Purdue Pharma accounted for only about 3% of the prescription opioid pills sold in the US, yet they became the face of the entire opioid crisis.
Doctors are passing out Suboxone like candy while people are being told it’s “non-addictive,” and some are even calling taking Suboxone “drug-free.”
When you start digging into the history, marketing, profits, lawsuits, and settlements involving the makers of Suboxone, they make the Purdue look like a charitable organization.
I’ve attached four videos of medical predators
As a vocal patient advocate, my best advice is to Say NO to all forms of oral buprenorphine. Suboxone, Subutex and Belbuca have all been linked to catastrophic dental decay and mouth trauma, and there is also a study linking buprenorphine to oral cancer.
Secondly, cancel all elective procedures unless your medication is called in beforehand or make sure you have an ironclad postoperative pain plan in place. What I’ve learned about some surgeons is that if they can get away with leaving you to suffer, they will.
And lastly, stay away from pain clinics. There is a growing list of people who have become paralyzed or seriously injured from botched epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations and other procedures. In addition, there is mounting data questioning how much these procedures actually help many patients.
After 10 years of advocacy, I’ve learned one thing: protect yourself, ask questions, and never assume someone else is going to advocate for your pain once you’re the one lying in that bed.
Some people will ask, “Well, what are we supposed to do?” My answer is simple: GET INVOLVED.
Contact your state health department and insist on change. Better yet, contact your state representatives and ask them to put pressure on the health department to roll out initiatives that actually address the needs of people living with chronic pain. Take advantage of our free resources located on our website.
We will continue lobbying for change at both the state and federal levels, but we cannot do this alone. We need everyone to do their part. Change doesn’t happen because we sit back and hope someone else fixes it.
So let me get this straight, Suboxone isn't substituting one drug for another when it literally is the very definition. Suboxone, even when misusing it, diverting it, shooting it up, putting it in their eyeballs or tush is still active recovery, and Kratom IS substituting one drug for another, and even when thousands tell you they take a small amount a few times a day, and it saved their lives, it's active addiction?
Do you people hear yourselves? Sure thing, keep blaming the Sacklers while Indivior is doing much worse and you celebrate it.
You can give Suboxone for free with the daily newspaper and many people will still not want it. Not for pain, not for "addiction." Why is that? Why don't you ask the people who don't want it? Oh, right, you don't care about what they have to say about it.
Look what a pain clinic did to a patient. This is why I warn patients to stay away from the gimmick clinics
@DeAnna Ostrander: This happened at a pain management clinic. I went in to have the nerves burned in 3 branches. He got the nerve burnt above my eye. He went to do the nerve in my cheek and he hit an artery so he had to back out and could complete”
