@SaorAlbannach I rented an Airbnb from an ethnic Chinese man years ago. I was genuinely blown away as he was chatting with us with the perfect Scottish accent. Could barely understand him, exactly like many of the other locals we met on the trip! 😂

@jayala4711 @dubduphuskies easy to say now. Cig was an old coach who'd only been successful at lower levels. IU was desperate to be relevant and took a risk. turned out to be a unicorn, which we then all think, "why not just do what they did?". also helps that the donors there are ready and willing.

@dubduphuskies UW money people have always been "show-me first" and are not investors in the program that they love. the admin is even worse, and that makes it 100x harder to win. you gotta catch lightning in a bottle like the KDB run. outside of that, it's just angst and wishful thinking.

I am not convinced the whole Paki story is out there, maybe he didn't want to be a swiss-army knife and wait for his shot, or he was PO'd he'd been passed over by Kodi?

Means they give young players opportunities to develop and shine, have a great culture where players don’t want to leave, and they are solid on their evaluations. They also signed guys from the portal so this is not the gotcha you think it is.
