@i_PravinKanth We choose corruption as well. Similar countries like India have far better roads right now.

Nearly 6 in 10 of India's electric scooters are made in Hosur. It still has no airport. What works: Ather, TVS and Ola build here, and Tata assembles iPhones next door in Krishnagiri. The Sep 2025 investor meet signed 90+ deals, about 40 of them with small firms. The catch: Hosur borrows Bengaluru's airport, and often its talent. The Defence Ministry declined a Hosur airport again in 2026, citing HAL's airspace. The SIPCOT innovation centre here opened in 2022 and has published no results. With Chennai: Chennai designs, tests and certifies. Hosur engineers and builds EVs, batteries and drone parts. Specialise in EV engineering, not just assembly: battery packs, motor controllers, drone and aero parts. 3 asks - A Hosur airport site and date, agreed by the Centre and the state - An EV lab with Government College of Engineering Bargur, Adhiyamaan and the EV makers - Publish what the Hosur innovation centre delivers, every year @TN_SIPCOT @Guidance_TN @TNIndMinOffice @TheStartupTN @CMOTamilnadu @SingaiGR #Hosur #EV #InvestInTN

India is diverse. TN will always reject imposition and will have opinions on how to run their state. This is actually healthy. It promotes federalism. I'm in no support of the separatists. I want the government to take action on them as they see fit. The separatists have too much freedom in India to talk about it. Freedom of speech should be examined closely in this scenario. Now, you are being regional by saying states shouldn't have differences of opinion with the centre. #unityindiversity #hypocrisywatch

@Coimbatore

India's first commercial chip-packaging machine shipped from Coimbatore in 2025. The airport's India's first commercial chip-packaging machine shipped from Coimbatore in 2025. The airport's expansion is still waiting for final approval. What works: Coimbatore is the south's engineering workshop. Its small firms can cast, machine and wind every part of a pump. It has 80+ global capability centres and strong colleges: PSG Tech, GCT, Kumaraguru, Amrita, Karunya and Bharathiar. The catch: Airport terminal: the state has handed over the land and NITI Aayog cleared the ₹2,200 cr master plan in Sep 2026, but it still awaits final Union Cabinet approval The 2022 R&D Policy promised Coimbatore an innovation centre. We couldn't find one The Varapatti defence park still needs an anchor firm With Chennai: Chennai designs chips and defence systems. Coimbatore builds the precision machines and parts behind them. Specialise in precision machinery: chip equipment at Sulur, defence parts at Varapatti, and robot parts (gears, motors, drives). 3 asks Final approval for the airport terminal. Land and NITI Aayog's nod are done; it's with the Union Cabinet Open the promised innovation centre with PSG Tech, Kumaraguru and GCT One anchor firm for the defence park, so small suppliers get orders Next: Hosur. @KCTOfficial @AMRITAedu @karunyauniv @BharathiarUniv @Guidance_TN @TNIndMinOffice @TN_SIPCOT @CMOTamilnadu @SingaiGR #Coimbatore #InvestInTN

IIT Madras filed 431 patents last year. It licensed 27 of them to companies. Chennai is still Tamil Nadu's brain. The IIT Madras Research Park hosts 192 companies and labs and is 99% full. Chennai is also home to Zoho and Freshworks, global capability centres, data centres and national labs. The catch: ideas aren't becoming companies fast enough. In 2025 Chennai's startups raised $432 mn. Bengaluru's raised $4.5 bn. The second airport still has no site or date. Chennai's job is bigger than its own growth. It should be the hub that lifts every region: IIT Madras chip work → Coimbatore's chip-machine park CLRI leather research → the Ranipet–Ambur shoe belt IIT Madras ocean engineering and NIOT → the Thoothukudi shipyard Lead the frontier on purpose: chip design, space, AI and robotics. To keep top leaders here, Chennai must become a global city: Build up along metro lines, not out into sprawl (transit-oriented development) Plan for floods and heat Real places to unwind: beaches, parks, culture, evenings out In Aug 2026 the state delayed the new Chennai master plan by about a year to add rules for vertical growth and climate-resilient buildings. Use that time well. 3 asks: License more research, and publish the rate every year Research Parks in 3 regional cities, as the 2022 R&D Policy promises Name the second airport site with a date. The Centre and the state both own this A stronger Chennai lifts every district. Next: Coimbatore. @iitmadras @iitm_respark @auvcochennai @SRM_Univ @UpdatesChennai @Guidance_TN @TheStartupTN @CMOTamilnadu @SingaiGR #Chennai #InvestInTN #StartupTN

@TNRISING_O1

Can Tamil Nadu grow every district without slowing Chennai down? Many people worry that spreading growth takes it away from Chennai. It doesn't have to. Spread the know-how, not just the factories. Chennai stays the brain of the state. The IIT Madras Research Park hosts 192 companies and labs and is 99% full. The top labs, global capability centres and design work in defence, space and AI stay here. But Chennai needs to grow faster too. In 2025 its startups raised $432 mn; Bengaluru's raised $4.5 bn. Meanwhile, every region already has a strength: Tiruppur: six in ten of India's knitwear exports Hosur: most of India's electric scooters Coimbatore: chip-making machines Thoothukudi: a shipyard and a spaceport on the way The model: Chennai designs and connects. Every region builds, specialises and grows its own startups, with local colleges as partners. Over the coming weeks: one deep dive per city, each with a video. Which city should we start with? @CMOTamilnadu @Keerthana4VNR @TNIndMinOffice @Guidance_TN @TheStartupTN @SingaiGR @iitmadras @auvcochennai #InvestInTN #StartupTN

India's IT and product capital is going to be Bangalore. This is for the next 20 years. The current achievement is after 30 years of dedicated growth as a city in the IT space. People share the perception that its just a few IT companies going and setting up shop in an IT park. It's India's only true PAN India city. The VC network is heavy there. It covers 40% of all India's funding. People from across the country have built it together. This wouldn't have been possible without the local government and the local people contributing to it. The culture, the weather and the overall vibe of the city has helped it become this. Locals will want to get more jobs in their own state and that's their right. All other cities have to look at becoming stronger in their own specialisations and not focus on trying to compete with Blr. US has silicon valley and the other cities there focus on their strengths.

@UpdatesChennai @CMOTamilnadu @AadhavArjuna @BussyAnand Point 2 first. Even if it's TOD specific.

@IndianMarket0 @epic_bengaluru Each and every state government has to take the initiative and work with the centre. India needs more cities in every state and it should leverage existing synergies. I'm not answering this from a Hosur metro stand point. Assume it's not in the picture.

@ArjunM1412 @svembu Exactly. Everyone is accountable. Not just the politicians. Industry needs to up its game.

Are we building any industrial and residential townships in Hosur aggressively? Metro is just one piece of the puzzle. Build the demand, provide the quality of life that Blr provides. People will automatically migrate and buy. Just relying on a metro is not enough to incentivised people to settle here. There is a huge need to do proper city planning. @Guidance_TN @TNIndMinOffice @CMOTamilnadu

@ArjunM1412 @svembu As a nation we need to do our best to offer what we can. Some people will still go and settle else where. Right now, we are yet to reach the point where the ecosystem is right to invite people back. We are close enough though.

@vaagaimedia This is a subsidy again. Reduce the cost by improving logistics cost instead.

This is a really good initiative. This also includes allocation for de-silting and maintenance. I hope the maintenance allocation is going to be yearly going forward otherwise the efficiency of this project will drop drastically in a year. @CMOTamilnadu @OfficeOfNAnand @BussyAnand @tamilnadu_wrd @TNDIPRNEWS

@HariraamTrajan The point is not about increasing the count of high rises. It's to ensure that these buildings have the right safety standards. This is a good move from that perspective. What we also need is FSI relaxation.
