Has anyone else made it to their 30s without ever having an official budget, just checking your bank account a lot + vibes?
Budgets are for people with math brains I have a brain that is just colors and noise
@CrappyFumes I made it to age 31 but then signed up for You Need a Budget and it’s amazing. There’s not much math involved
@CrappyFumes I mean... back then I still would have had to balance a checkbook, with no easy way to check the bank account. If I’d had a checkbook. Or a bank account. Or money of my own. So... yes and no?
@CrappyFumes Bb I’m 40 and plan on living my whole life this way
@CrappyFumes Budgets are for people who make a lot of money. I did one with my ex who had a really good job as viewed by the community. There was no way she could afford an apartment without a roommate. I think I ruined her life by opening her eyes.
@CrappyFumes Checking my bank account a *decent amount* and vibes. Plus I overestimate how much I spend. In my mind, if I spent $15, I spent $20, $85 is $100. I always have hundreds more in my account than I thought.
@CrappyFumes Yeah but it’s cause I’m a dumbass not because I have money
@CrappyFumes Yup. I have all my bills on autopay and just charge all my monthly expenses to my Costco Visa. Then I pay it off at the end of the month. If it’s too expensive one month, I just spend less the next month.
@CrappyFumes Budget? TF is that? I been living like I'm gonna die soon.
