@MacRumors This is incorrect. Only the A12-series chips are being dropped, with the exception of the A12Z in the 2020 iPad Pro. The iPad Air with the A14 is still supported meaning ALL M-series chips are still supported. Learn to read…

@ZeldaGarf @ToadlyToad Mario Kart is one such franchise. It sells more than all those franchises. Mario Kart World launched with Switch 2, so…

@nin10doland They confirmed this back in September. Plus, this doesn’t rule out 3D Mario this year, as their anniversary celebrations were only meant to last through the Spring… basically, when this movie comes out. 3D Mario coming out this holiday would no longer be an anniversary game.

@BrianMurano @Stealth40k None of those games run at 4K at 60fps… Cyberpunk 2077 runs at 1080p at 30fps (actually runs at a LOWER resolution but uses DLSS to upscale to 1080p) and Botw runs at a dynamic resolution UP TO 1440p at 60fps.

@GLEGaming @LinkofHyrule89 @NintendoAmerica No it’s not. Donkey Kong is 100% owned by Nintendo, and every single character that Rare created for the Donkey Kong IP now belongs to Nintendo. It’s entirely up to Nintendo to put DK64 on NSO.

@Hank_SamaTwitch @Stealth40k Considering the EPD Tokyo team works on nothing but 3D Marios and haven't put out a standalone release since Odyssey, I'd say they've had a healthy head start on their next one and have been working on it for quite some time. There's no way 3D Mario "needs more time."

@Ice3317 @NintendoAmerica The original Switch did not have a six month window from announcement to release. It was announced in mid-October 2016 and released early March 2017. That’s less than five months. Even if they go with five months, that puts Switch 2 at June 2025.

@modernanimatr @NateTheHate2 @bryentmicheal @Roubsss_ @M1narc Not "similar to the Wii U." The last first party Wii U release was Breath of the Wild in 2017. They actually discontinued the Wii U BEFORE the release of this game. The 3DS is a better comparison, as they still continued to release games all the way into 2019.

@PatrixRaider Most likely won’t be a direct Odyssey sequel, but an entirely new concept. I’d be very disappointed if we waited 8 years for a direct sequel…

@patience__zero @chris_rodi1 @AllanLichtman It’s not really a 90% successful rate. The only real tossup elections he was ever involved in predicting were 2000, 2016, and 2024. Nobody seriously thought that McCain and Romney were going to beat Obama… or that Dole would beat Clinton. Of the three tossups, he got two wrong.

@Nintendeal @ManFl0w3y Kondo's credited as "Sound Supervisor" for just about everything, though. That doesn't really mean much in terms of involvement. Probably has more to do with the fact that the music utilizes his past music. If he were credited as "Sound Director," that'd be different.

@Peter_Conan_Fan @OmarHer14419222 @Nintendeal "Co-developed" means that they made the game with Nintendo supervising it… just like AlphaDream "co-developed" the prior games with Nintendo's supervision. They ARE the main developer.

@JordanU39 @lukecagg @andrew_helenek @Wario64 The Switch isn’t “specifically” a handheld. Even then, you’re wrong, because the “New” 3DS and the Circle Pad Pro accessory added ZL/ZR long before the Switch was a known thing.

@JordanU39 @lukecagg @andrew_helenek @Wario64 I would argue that the DS touchscreen was a MUCH bigger change than mere shoulder buttons. Also, many Nintendo consoles had ZL/ZR triggers. It was the Wii Classic Controller that began calling them ZL/ZR, but triggers had existed on controllers since the GameCube’s L+R buttons.

@JordanU39 @lukecagg @andrew_helenek @Wario64 Yeah, and that’s not true for GBA. Moving the buttons to the side of the screen doesn’t fundamentally make the GBA any different from the original Game Boy. That’s why the GBA SP was a very easy revision; it DIDN’T change the way GBA games played. The DS is a different story…

@andrew_helenek @Wario64 But.. the GBA wasn’t a big change. Moving the buttons to the side of the screen didn’t fundamentally change anything. It’s still a handheld device with one screen, just beefier hardware and L/R buttons. That’s why the SP was an easy revision The DS, however, WAS a big change.
