University debate, "Were humans built to eat meat?", same two chairs, same clock. Vegan: "Anatomically we're closer to the gorilla than the lion. Flat molars, long gut. A gentle plant-eater with delusions." Paleoanthropologist: "Then explain the acid." Vegan: "Which acid?" Paleoanthropologist: "Your stomach runs at a pH of about 1.5. A lion's sits nearer 3.6. Yours is stronger than the animal you've just been contrasted with, by a factor of about a hundred." Vegan: "Stomach acid digests food." Paleoanthropologist: "A cow's rumen sits at about 6.5. That's a compost heap with a pulse. Yours strips the zinc off a coin. Why would a gentle plant-eater carry that?" Vegan: "Protection." Paleoanthropologist: "From what? Lettuce doesn't fight back." Vegan: "Bacteria." Paleoanthropologist: "Which bacteria live in a leaf at a level that needs a pH of 1.5? Name the salad." Vegan: "..." Paleoanthropologist: "The animals that run acid as low as ours are the scavengers. Vultures. Things that arrive at a carcass on the second day and need to kill what's already living in it. We're not built like the lion. We're built like the bird that waits for the lion to finish." Vegan: "Flattering." Paleoanthropologist: "It's a picture of a species with a rock, a sharp flake and no claws. You don't get the fresh kill. You get the femur nobody could open, forty hours late, and you'd better have the acid for it." Vegan: "Acid that strong is dangerous. Look how many people are on tablets for it." Paleoanthropologist: "The only animal on earth that pays to switch its stomach off. You've spent sixty years pouring cereal onto a carcass digester and now you're medicating the digester for doing its job." Vegan: "So your argument is that we're vultures." Paleoanthropologist: "My argument is a number. Yours is a feeling about gorillas. The gorilla eats for most of the day and its gut is a fermentation tank. Yours is done in a few hours and runs on acid. One of you is designed for leaves." Moderator: "Thirty seconds." Paleoanthropologist: "She can keep them. I'm still waiting on the salad."

@0xLawliette Come back bro we know you’re locked in

Last cycle's biggest memes all looked dead at two months old. By day 60, PEPE, WIF, BONK, FARTCOIN and the rest had each already come back from two or three drawdowns of 50% or more. Today's leaders on Robinhood Chain and Solana are on the same track. Look at the blue box in the bottom left. The dashed orange icons are last cycle's winners at two months old, the blue ones are today's leaders. They sit right alongside each other. What came next is the part most people seem to forget during these drawdowns. From day 60 to their top, the winners grew a median of 15.9x, and they had a median of 4 more drawdowns along the way. Every single one went through at least one more 50% drop before it topped and nobody got the 15.9x without sitting through the drops. Worth mentioning: This only includes coins that went on to win, so it's what winning looked like, not how often it happens. We'll be tracking these leaders daily.

With Stock Tokens TVL reaching over $170M and nearly $50B in DEX volume on the Robinhood Chain, we are getting more questions about what they are and how they work. All Robinhood Stock Tokens are backed 1:1 with real shares in secure custody. And Stock Tokens receive the economic equivalent of dividends and corporate actions returns reinvested into their holdings. In other words, when a new Stock Token is minted, we buy a real share of the company at the same time. What about in-kind redemption and voting rights? Not yet, but they’re coming. Step one is to scale adoption of Stock Tokens. We’re actively working on redemptions for shares 1:1 with voting for eligible Stock Token holders on the roadmap. We know how to do this well: we run a shareholder engagement platform, Say by Robinhood, which allows shareholders to participate in actions like voting. What about the technology? We built Stock Tokens to be composable, which allows developers to build new innovative offerings like we have seen the past few weeks, with many that we have yet to discover. What am I the most excited about? Billions of people in the world don't have access to U.S. investment assets. With Stock Tokens, that era is ending. Any eligible customer with a phone and an internet connection can now get exposure to the most exciting market in the world.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Alice Weidel becomes the first leader in the world who is anti-immigration but has an immigrant wife, is anti-LGBTQ+ but is a lesbian herself, opposes LGBT adoption but has adopted two children, and is a hardcore German nationalist but lives in Switzerland
