This dude just tried to claim that declining homicide data is "missing NYC, Chicago, KC, LA, DC, Houston, Minneapolis" ... By quote-tweeting an article that shows annualized homicide rates declined - 16% in NYC - 9% in Chicago - 9% in KC - 7% in DC - 26% in Houston - 2% in MSP

Quote tweeting is so cringe and bad form and I'm sorry to do it, but I literally cannot believe the response to the declining homicide news. Rising murders are bad! Falling murders are good! You can celebrate good rate news and still note bad level news.
@DKThomp Maybe you should just call the White House to see if they will have the post removed for you. Oh wait, the White House doesn't control Twitter anymore!
@DKThomp You can cross Chicago off that list after this weekend.
@DKThomp Again are homicide up or down from 2019 levels?
@DKThomp With scotus nuking NYCs gun laws, the murder rate will go up over the long term :(
@DKThomp My brother in Christ, you do NOT have all the data in your analysis, your analysis can be nothing but flawed. Even for 2023 there are missing data which are not reported. I get the desire for a victory lap but this is not it. themarshallproject.org/2023/07/13/fbi…
@DKThomp How do they compare to pre covid/blm?
@DKThomp They no longer report, those are estimated rates. Do some research
