Don’t think I’ve seen this before. Like a fake rub play with a whip route. Mack goes outside and takes two, Irvin fakes inside and loops outside. Nice scheme👌

“He is a great kid. He works extremely hard. He goes to Coach Patterson every day and asks how he can get better. He's a great teammate and a great team guy.” -Coach Zimmer on @DHunt94_TX #Skol

Another coaching point seen here: Stress the importance of reducing the blocking surface to the drive blocker. Drop/Rotate gap-side shoulder away from drive blocker and square back up to LOS when he leaves.

Great coaching points here! Teach your DT's to play 1 on 1 with the post blocker, and NOT 2 on 1. Drive blocker must come off eventually to work up to 2nd level, which will free you up to your gap side.

DRILL for DL Coaches: Start with rip already in under OL outside arm. Tell OL to stay horizontal or flip vertical. DL should react to horizontal with shoulder dip & finish rip or pin & club. DL should react to vertical with spin or hump. Helps build DL natural reaction to OL set.

VERTICAL SHOULDERS (perpendicular to LOS) sets up counter options to the inside. Set up with speed (every pass rush get-off looks the same), violent chop, sit down in OL lap, keep loose but compact torso and nose over toes, ice pick outside arm and get outside toe pointed to QB.

Watch the technique of @EversonGriffen - specifically the burst in his get-off, violence in his hands, and ability to read the set of the OT: facebook.com/NFL/videos/101…

VIOLENCE and TECHNIQUE can win battles in the pass rush, even against a fellow Hall of Famer. Reggie White sees vertical shoulders from the OT (perpendicular to LOS), uses his momentum against him by using his patented "hump" move with violence, and gets a HOQB! x.com/DustyEvely/sta…

A little something for the "Oh, but that was just a WR he did that to." Ladies and gentlemen, Reggie White vs. Larry Allen.

Active hands, tight elbows and violent shoulders! Working on training our eyes to see the target and trigger our shoulders and hand to take the target away violently when it approaches, finishing up with a big rip. @D_Mase45 @DLineVids @anianimates+D1 Carrollton
