@jake_riepma You should start a NU football weekly podcast. INSIDENU doesn't do one. Great job and Go Cats!

I was at a wedding this weekend. Went up to the guy that gave the best man speech to tell him he did a great job We ended up talking for ~45 minutes, most of the time about Jesus (after agreeing on politics for ~10 minutes I asked him if he was a believer - he mentioned God in his speech and he had a lot of wisdom with everything happening in the world) He basically told me that he believes Jesus is a way to heaven but is not the only way. He said all religions have truth and that he didn't think Jesus ever claimed to be the only way to heaven I wanted to get around to talking about this because I know a lot of people think like this. The thing is, it does not matter what we think. It matters what the Bible says John 14:6 - "Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" 1 Timothy 2:5 - "For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time" In John 10:9 Jesus said - "I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture" John 3:36 - "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him" 1 John 5:11 - "And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life" Acts 16:30 - "Then he brought them out and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household" These really just scratch the surface but the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ is the only way to be reconciled to God. People don't like this exclusivity but what they fail to realize is this free gift is available to everyone. Anyone who genuinely seeks Him will find Him and can be forgiven for all sins I've seen far too many people talking as if Christianity is just some belief system. Just a way to deal with life when it gets hard. Just a set of instructions on how to live a good life Sure, it is those things but it's so much more than that. It's the explanation for our entire existence. The only reason any of us are here, breathing, talking, learning and living is because God established the earth and those who dwell therein Other religions have parts of truth, but they are not the truth. To say that all religions lead to the same God is a joke and utterly ignorant. Just one example, Muslims do not believe the same thing about Jesus that Christians do and the truth of Christianiy hinges on Jesus being God and resurrecting from the dead to claim (prove) victory over the grave and to verify His deity To think that all religions are true and good makes zero logical sense because they make competing claims where both (all) cannot be true. The Bible warns of false teachers and false prophets many times We're not meant to spend our lives trying to earn salvation or trying to be good enough to get to heaven. The Bible is clear - all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:20). Even our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment in light of a perfectly holy and just God (Isaiah 64:6) Jesus already lived the perfect life because we can't. When we put our faith in Him as Lord and Savior, when God looks at us He then sees Christ's perfect life imputed to us. Without the blood of Christ paying the penalty for us, there is no forgiveness of sin All other religions teach that we must do something to be saved and to enter paradise. Christianity teaches that it's already done thanks to the work of Jesus on the cross If there was no resurrection and Christ was not raised, then we would still be in our sins. This is where Jesus proved to the world that He is indeed God and has overcome the world and that He can actually set us free from our sin. All other religious leaders have lived and died. Jesus is currently alive at the right hand of God interceding for us (Romans 8:34) There is no option to think Jesus was just some good teacher. He claimed to be God. So He's either a lying lunatic or He truly is God I believe the historical evidence overwhelmingly points to the latter. He gave me the gift of true faith after years of genuinely and earnestly seeking Him and I now experience fellowship with Him daily. The love, forgiveness, hope and joy found in Christ is so far beyond anything the world can offer We love people by sharing the truth in love. The decision you make about who Jesus is to you has profound consequences for this life and for eternity "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame" - Romans 10:9-11

I need to clear something up...lately I've seen/heard way too many people saying that the way to heaven is to "be a good person" Trump actually said this recently in an interview: “But religion - it gives you some hope. Gee, if I’m good, I am going to heaven!" It may sound harsh, but if someone thinks that's the answer, they're admitting they have no clue what the Bible actually teaches I can't make anyone a believer, but what I can and will do is simply share the truth about what the Bible actually says so that people can make their decisions based on the truth about scripture, not lies that culture has spread Jesus said no one is good except God alone. The only way to heaven is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior and putting your trust in Him. He lived the perfect life none of us ever can. When you accept Jesus as Lord, He imputes His righteousness to you so that when God looks at you, He sees Christ's perfection Jesus also said unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God The Bible teaches we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The penalty has been paid in full on the cross...Jesus took the punishment we all deserve because He loves us We don't obey so that God will love us, we obey because we're already loved and we're free from the bondage of sin to live a life glorifying God The gospel is good news All other religions say: you must do Christianity says: it's done ✝️

To my brothers and sisters in Christ: Don't ever forget the power of withdrawing and just praying/sitting in God's presence Yes read the Bible, listen to worship music, engage with the body of Christ regularly But Jesus Himself isolated often to be alone with the Father "And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone" - Matthew 14:23 I've experienced some of the best gifts this world has to offer and yet experiencing the presence of God and the power of the Holy Spirit is the ultimate reason we were created. Glorifying God through communion with Him There are no words to articulate it, it must be experienced. It's readily available ✝️ If your heart is troubled/mind is anxious, use the tools we've been given 🎶 "For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling" - 2 Corinthians 5:1-2

A lot of you have already seen this on YT, but figured I'd leave this here for 𝕏 It's not about being more religious. You're not good enough to get to heaven. It's not about behavior modification (although that happens) The battle between good and evil is on display for everyone to see. God vs. satan. The resurrection of Christ confirms He has authority over the grave and He will be victorious in the end Don't look to worldy trends to make your decision about Jesus "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.” Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world - to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.” - John 18:36-37 I know many people in their private thoughts aren't fulfilled. It's because we're created to have fellowship with Jesus Christ. If you're far from Him, you have nothing to lose in seeking Him and everything to gain To my brothers and sisters in Christ: be courageous. Our early church family laid their lives down for Jesus in horrific ways so that we could hear the truth of the gospel. You can handle a few mean comments/losing followers online and/or losing a few "friends" IRL. The gospel is offensive by its very nature as it confronts our sin "Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you" - 1 Peter 3:15 Plant seeds in love and in Truth and let God handle the rest ✝️ "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you." - Jesus (John 15:18–20)

Why did God create evil? A professor at the university asked his students the following question: - Everything that exists was created by God? One student bravely answered: - Yes, created by God. - Did God create everything? - a professor asked. “Yes, sir,” replied the student. The professor asked : - If God created everything, then God created evil, since it exists. And according to the principle that our deeds define ourselves, then God is evil. The student became silent after hearing such an answer. The professor was very pleased with himself. He boasted to students for proving once again that faith in God is a myth. Another student raised his hand and said: - Can I ask you a question, professor? "Of course," replied the professor. A student got up and asked: - Professor, is cold a thing? - What kind of question? Of course it exists. Have you ever been cold? Students laughed at the young man's question. The young man answered: - Actually, sir, cold doesn't exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is actually the absence of heat. A person or object can be studied on whether it has or transmits energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees Fahrenheit) is a complete absence of heat. All matter becomes inert and unable to react at this temperature. Cold does not exist. We created this word to describe what we feel in the absence of heat. A student continued: - Professor, does darkness exist? — Of course it exists. - You're wrong again, sir. Darkness also does not exist. Darkness is actually the absence of light. We can study the light but not the darkness. We can use Newton's prism to spread white light across multiple colors and explore the different wavelengths of each color. You can't measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into the world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you tell how dark a certain space is? You measure how much light is presented. Isn't it so? Darkness is a term man uses to describe what happens in the absence of light. In the end, the young man asked the professor: - Sir, does evil exist? This time it was uncertain, the professor answered: - Of course, as I said before. We see him every day. Cruelty, numerous crimes and violence throughout the world. These examples are nothing but a manifestation of evil. To this, the student answered: - Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist for itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is like darkness and cold—a man-made word to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not faith or love, which exist as light and warmth. Evil is the result of the absence of Divine love in the human heart. It’s the kind of cold that comes when there is no heat, or the kind of darkness that comes when there’s absence of light.

According to my Grandfather (who survived the Great Depression), a man should display these characteristics: Integrity- even the poorest man has his word by his side always. If you break your word, you can’t be relied on for anything else. A man should always be relied upon to keep a secret. It’s the cornerstone of manhood. Bro code if you will. Courage- Life is full of dangers and peril. Eventually you will be tested. We all know the risks. It’s who stands strong despite those risks that win the day. Self-Control- Everything in moderation, even the things we view as good in our lives. Avoid excessive consumption. Steer clear of the vices that poison your body and mind. Cast away the spiritual vices that tear away at us mercilessly. Compassion- Always protect the weak. Always open your heart to change in view of better information. It’s important to be willing to put yourself in someone else’s shoes. Step outside of your comfort zone of humility and cast your ego to the wind when necessary. Physical Capability- You must be capable. Also, the next generation is always watching and you should never appear weak in front of them. Always be the best version of yourself you possibly can be. Always push yourself harder and harder. Wisdom- Fill your hands with work, but also fill your mind with knowledge. Always strive to learn new things. Learn new skills. New trades. Always question the status quo and seek out the best information possible. Always question the media and the Government. Never defer your knowledge base to someone else to cultivate for you. Artistry- It’s important for Men to have a creative outlet. What you choose is up to you, but do not deny yourself the ability to create. Learn an instrument. Learn to paint. Try your hand at writing. It helps keep us grounded and relieves stress. Strong Work Ethic- You cannot rely on anything to happen for you. You have to snatch victory from the jaws of normalcy and complacency. You have to always work hard and make your work your mission that people can’t help but notice. Spirituality- A man should be at terms with his creator. It’s okay to not know the answer to everything. Life is a journey, and you’ll make a lot of mistakes along the way. Some people go to church and watch the football game on their phones. It’s far more productive to go out in nature and see the manifestations of your creator all around you and contemplate on it in peace and honest reflection.

Don’t tell me how hard things are… 😍😍😍😍

Psalm 27:1 - The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

There is no version of Christianity that permits you to continue sinning just because of God’s love for you. True love inspires true obedience.

Toddler welcomes dad home from work 😂 If you're a dad you know this is the greatest feeling in the world and nothing else is remotely close. I pray every man reading this gets to feel the way the dad in this video feels. Every older dad I've ever spoken to tells me these moments are some of their fondest memories. And they all give the same advice: enjoy them while they last, because one day they'll run to the door like this and it will be the last time they ever do it. But if you dad (in the verb sense) correctly, the joy of being reunited never goes away.
