15 years ago today, Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPhone. Now, there's 6.3+ billion smartphone users. Tech adoption has been incredibly fast and is getting faster. This can either help humanity or destroy it. Both outcomes should be considered with every new thing we build.
@lexfridman Should point out that iPhone was far from the first smartphone, nor was it the first phone in slate form factor (look up LG Prada & PDA based phones from the mid 2000s). It just bought the smartphone to the masses. iPhone did bring improvement to display and touch functionality.
@DamianEllis82 @lexfridman If you won't call the iPhone the first true 'smartphone' then I'm not sure anyone can help you fam. Talk about pedantic.
@DamianEllis82 @lexfridman Also the Pogo phone from UK. all glass touch screen, fast internet (for the time) music and apps.
@DamianEllis82 @lexfridman To be fair he didn't say it was the first.
