My friend told me about something that happened in Florida and it is one more piece as to why I think Florida will be blue next election DeSantis banned permanent alimony and he made it retro active… this means a flood of cases will be reopened and many Florida women will be hurt badly as a result…they are saying he stabbed them in the back…as one woman said “this is a death sentence for me” This woman says this will devastate many older women in the state and they will switch to Dems to get this overturned…most of these women cannot afford to litigate alimony again. One thing about this law is that men will not have to give more than 25% of their income… so if a man makes 40k a wife would only get 10k a year in alimony and that’s not enough to live on… So while women were bullying trans, banning books, and ripping masks of children’s faces… DeSantis was stabbing them in the back Remember how Libs keep telling Republicans that they always vote against their best interests… Republicans openly say they will take seniors SS away and yet they keep voting for Republicans… guess what Florida citizens now you know they don’t give a 💩about wives they certainly won’t give a 💩about people who are one foot in the grave already… you need to vote out every damn Republican in the state before you lose everything dailykos.com/stories/2023/7…

The video of the woman being brutalized by an LA deputy fills me with RAGE. Not just because of the way that LA deputy manhandles that woman, that woman who is somebody's Wife being manhandled right in front of him as he himself watches, powerless, in handcuffs. She is somebody's Mom, somebody's grandmother, somebody's sister. Those aren't the ONLY reasons I am filled with rage. She was filming her husband being wrongfully detained, as was her right to do. She is a human being, who was violently tossed to the ground the way an NFL linebacker would do to someone fully covered in protective gear, and might have still drawn a penalty for "unnecessary roughness." No, I'm filled with rage because after all of the video recorded brutalities and resulting deaths, after all of the protest marches, after all of the speeches, after all of the lives and families destroyed, after all of the convictions... THIS. IS. STILL. HAPPENING. Many of these police brutality incidents have been national, even global news, covered extensively on print, radio, and TV news. You would have to be living in a cave on a deserted island not to have heard of Derek Chauvin, even while the disgusting LA deputy positioned his knee on this poor woman's back. Forget training: I am pretty sure they are not training cops to treat suspects like animals, to brutally beat on them and pepper-spray them in their cancer-afflicted eyes. Why does one human being need training to know NOT to treat somebody's grandmother, or grandfather, or brother that way? Why have we watched entire generations of people abused and killed by police ON VIDEO, but cops are still doing the same thing? Why are they STILL so emboldened to abuse our bodies this way, as though nobody will notice or care, after dozens or hundreds of times these incidents have gone viral? We shouldn't have to march to remind people our lives matter TOO. We shouldn't have to kneel to make a point of it. We shouldn't have to give "The Talk" to our sons and daughters. WHEN DOES IT END?

It is unfathomable that Donald Trump is allowed to hold hate-rallies after the crimes he was revealed to have committed in DOJ’s unsealed 37-count federal indictment. Any other criminal defendant who did the same would be locked up and placed in a holding cell until their trial.

Okay. So we all understand that the Supreme Court has become a right-wing ideological political institution under Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, Barrett, Kavanaugh, & Roberts. They're for sale & illegitimate. Now, we have to beat them in the executive branch & the legislature. huffpost.com/entry/supreme-…

Republicans and Democrats took out PPP loans during the pandemic and there is overwhelming bipartisan support for PPP loan forgiveness. But that’s all about business, not people. It is people, Republicans and Democrats alike, who are saddled with student loan debt that has accumulated in part because of exorbitant interest rates, but yet it seems that Republicans who support even modest student loan foreignness are nowhere to be found, making instead absurd comparisons to things like car loans. Just like their taking taking credit for infrastructure projects they voted against, the hypocritical righteous indignation by Republicans against student loan forgiveness is stunning.

Cardona: Markwayne Mullin had more than $1.4 million in pandemic loans forgiven. He represents 489,000 eligible borrowers that were turned down today. Marjorie Taylor Greene had more than $180,000 forgiven. She represents 91,800 eligible borrowers who were turned down today

Exactly. The misconception that affirmative action meant unqualified people have been admitted into college solely because of their race was never true and is quite frankly an ignorant interpretation. Thank you @Joyannreid for setting the record straight and sharing your truth!

Hey Brett Kavanaugh. Want to talk about affirmative action and student loans? Let’s examine how you got into Yale, shall we? During your Senate testimony, you said “I got into Yale Law School. That’s the No. 1 law school in the country. I had no connections there. I got
