July 22, or 22/7, is Pi Approximation Day, not to be confused with Pi Day (March 14). I wish everyone Happy Pi Approximation Day! The image includes Pi Poetry (3-1-4 syllables per line!) and some Pie recipes. Thanks to colleagues for their contributions!

PCO is looking for a federal employee developer who wants to help build a new Data Science team (ideal CS-03 technical). We need someone who can (1) build a proper database as a core function (to enable the team!) and (2) work with clients to help them understand their own data.

I was not aware of this statistic. It makes me wonder at other types of gender bias there is in reporting health stats.

We federal public servants really are blessed. While many Canadians are living totally unexpected and unimaginable stress, we are empowered to go home and figure out how to be productive on behalf of Canadians. Yes, some work can't get done but there is no excuse for most of us.

Another first world problem as I practice social distancing during #Covid19. While others are making a mad dash to Costco, I am facing my own special shortage. #Nespresso shipments are delayed and my emergency reserve is at work.

We are celebrating Pi day at work and I finally got around to learning how to bake a pie (raspberry). One of our colleagues made a bakeapple pie with blackberries. A bakeapple is an orange Newfoundland ground berry that looks just like a blackberry.
