We have our own abattoir. Also there are no foxes here, so ideal for chickens.

I get lots of questions about how I spend the day before one of my night shifts at the @RoyalAlbertHall so I did a little video diary yesterday…! I do this about once a month, doing a lighter work day before I head in for the evening. It’s tiring but I love it!

@sueperkins I live in Peel in the Isle of Man and really enjoyed this episode. It was fascinating to see my home through your eyes and family history. Thanks for being so articulate and engaged.

@GaryLineker Do you think that the players should be licensed? They could be revoked for poor behaviour on & off the field, meaning that they cannot earn their salary or play anywhere else.

@manx_ram I think that the journalist got confused. Derby is a place where its citizens tend to go for long stretches.

@manx_ram @paulafr68963440 But you are talking about news, whereas the entirety of the BBC output is worth your annual coffee spend. I think that the licence fee should be trebled.

@manx_ram @paulafr68963440 I know that you spend around £1k a year on coffee (retail). The output of the BBC including TV, Radio, news, world service, website, iPlayer etc is around 10% of your spend on coffee.

@prodnose Happy birthday. Look forward to having you back on the Isle of Man soon. Dinners are better when you are the host.

@holliemcgowan Yes but think of the lives that have been saved and the children who have not been orphaned. Rain has its upsides.

Elton John wins the award for the best diary entry ever (quoted in today’s Observer). “Woke up, watched Grandstand. Wrote Candle in the Wind. Went to London, bought Rolls-Royce. Ringo Starr came for dinner”.
