Factory Management Staff training on Health, Safety and Gender in Korangi, Karachi. This initiative is part of a child labour reduction programme in Garments and Textile Industry in Karachi. For this programme we are partnering with TDH Germany.

DevCon observed World Day Against Child Labor, sports activities were organized in collaboration with Human Rights Defender's in Korangi to engage street children in healthy activities and provide them opportunity to exercise their UN CRC's Article 31 – Right To Play.

DevCon in partnership with TDH Germany is working with garments and textile industries in Karachi to help train their workers on health, safety and gender. Total target is 10,000 of which 7500 workers have been trained so far at their workplace. @SalamDharejo @tdh_de
Karachi: Training of Trainers (ToT) of Students of WASH Club and faculty members of targeted schools in Malir and Korangi districts of Karachi. School WASH and MHM program is being implemented by DevCon in partnership with WaterAid Pakistan.
Korangi Karachi: DevCon, in partnership with TDH Germany, is enhancing vocational skills of women to help them become either entrepreneur or skilled workforce for garments industry. Women economic self-reliance to eventually reduce child labour.
Karachi: Factory Workers Training on Health and Safety at Workplace, in partnership with TDH Germany. Out of total target of 10,000 workers of Garments and Textile Industries, 7000 have been trained so far. Pictures of session at Demin-e Private Limited.
Another Ultra Water Filtration Plant is ready to provide clean drinking water to communities in Ibrahim Hydri, a coastal area settlement in Karachi.
DevCon is going to launch an Urban WASH Project in Karachi, under which potable water shall be provided to communities through the installation of water filtration plants and RO Units in the areas where there is a scarcity of clean drinking water.
Senior Executive level meeting was held between DevCon and Artistic Milliners. Discussed and agreed that both entities, through a joint venture, will work together to arrange technical training for would-be industrial workers and their job placement in the industry.
