@Humanists_UK In many ways I feel I should not write this! At a time when religious schools are increasing and thus also religious indoctrination, statistics show religious belief in younger generations decreasing. So perhaps we should be campaignoing for more so-called religious education ?!

@clareemurph From time immemorable and today where abortion is illegal women have ended intolerable pregnancies knowingly risking their health, future fertility and death. So why would the threat of prison override the instictive drive to not bear a child they cannot properly care for?
