Last year I needed to calc the n-th root for a BigDecimal (arbitrary precision decimal) in @rustlang but couldn't find an existing package. Despite forgetting why I needed it in the first place, today I just published the first version of bigdecimalmath-rs github.com/ekump/bigdecim…

I'm using @dieselframework in a #rustlang project and have 20 almost identical functions for upserting and retrieving records from tables. Everything I've read so far says using traits to write a single generic function for this is a bad idea. So what do I do? Write a macro?

The only acceptable use of media autoplay on news sites is the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme at the end of every Trump/GOP covid article.

U.S. Government: “We did 9/11, lied ourselves into the Iraq War, ran secret torture prisons, blatantly murdered Epstein, and transferred trillions in wealth to billionaires.” U.S. Citizens: “Bet you can’t get us to wear paper masks though!”

When I worked at the Morgue, I wore a mask in an unventilated X-Ray room with a heavily decomposed corpse for hours as hundreds of maggots swarmed around as I struggled to position a body who’s skin was sliding off...but yeah, I agree, it’s really hard wearing a mask at the deli.

We were really fortunate to have @jonhoo come down and talk at the Rust NYC meetup last month. Watch his talk about demystifying unsafe code! youtube.com/watch?v=QAz-ma…

Newb AWS question: Is it possible to update an existing AMI using packer and EBS inside of AWS CodeBuild and maintain the same AMI-ID? I have EC2 resource definitions in Data Pipeline that expect AMI ids.

@eliseparramore I barely know how twitter works. Is that good or bad. And while I have you here, how do I change my top 8?

Tomorrow I’ll be giving a short talk at the Rust NYC meetup on how to alleviate hot spots in your Ruby on Rails apps using @rustlang. Too bad precisely zero people will get this Lords of Chaos reference. Anyway, come through! meetup.com/Rust-NYC/event…

Is there a way to see fast transaction traces with @newrelic that don't violate performance thresholds? I just deployed some @rustlang code that improves the performance of a key transaction by 1000% percent and want to see the metric-fruits of my labor. #rustlang

@eliseparramore Trump supporters are like the Microsoft Zune: stupid, clunky, no one asked for it, something better was already available, and quickly forgotten about (hopefully)
