🚨🚨🚨Mississippi’s Attorney General has ruled the police shooting that killed 18-month-old Kohen Wiley “justified.” No charges will be filed. June 14, 2026. Senatobia. A Walmart parking lot. A call about a pack of diapers. No reason to draw a gun. Kohen was in his mother’s arms in the front passenger seat when a Senatobia police officer fired into the car. The driver was also shot. Kohen died at the hospital. Monday’s statement from AG Lynn Fitch’s office was a few sentences. No name for Kohen. No name for the officer. No explanation. What the public has seen since June 14:
Body cam footage: nothing
Dash cam footage: nothing
Walmart surveillance: nothing
911 call: nothing In June, the Department of Public Safety said footage would not be released until the investigation was complete and handed to the Attorney General. The investigation is complete.
The Attorney General has it.
The decision is made. What else is on the record:
Kohen’s mother says the diapers were paid for.
The family’s independent autopsy indicates Kohen was shot from the side of the car, not the front.
The official account says the car was driving toward officers. State records identify the officer under investigation as Sgt. Hunter Foster.
Six months before the shooting, a fellow officer complained about Foster’s remarks about his Black partner and child. Foster stayed on patrol.
June 12, two days before the shooting, a Black officer says Foster called him a “Black motherf***er” in front of coworkers. He filed a complaint the day after Kohen was killed.
Last month, Senatobia fired its police chief over racist text messages.
In 2025, a Senatobia officer pulled a Black woman out of her car in that same Walmart parking lot. Lynn Fitch was elected Attorney General by Mississippi voters. In August, she announced she is running for governor. The office that decides whether anyone answers for a baby’s death is filled at the ballot box. The person in it now is asking for a bigger one. Release the body cam.
Release the dash cam.
Release the Walmart footage.
Release the 911 call.
Release all of it. Kohen Wiley should be here. We Cannot be Silent. As a Nation- We must fight for Baby Kohen Wiley.

100 years ago, thirteen black men put together their savings and founded Safe Bus Company, making it the largest black owned bus company at that time. It was formed in Winston-Salem to serve the black neighborhoods due to segregation and operated till 1972. Thirteen Black men pooled their life savings to purchase $100,000 in stock, forming Safe Bus Co., Inc. on May 26, 1926. The company quickly grew into the largest African American–owned bus company in the nation. Safe Bus expanded rapidly and was once described as the largest Black-owned transportation company in the world. By 1955, the company grossed $825,000. At its peak, it carried approximately 15,000 passengers per day, earned $18,000 weekly, and employed 75 people. Early fares began at five cents and increased as the company expanded. The fleet grew from 35 to 42 buses, serving roughly 20 percent of the city. Black bus drivers earned between $1.60 and $2.50 per hour—wages that exceeded those of many schoolteachers at the time. By 1968, Safe Bus provided transportation across the entire city. However, following integration, the company experienced a sharp decline in ridership. Changing social attitudes and increased competition led to significant financial losses. In 1972, stockholders voted to sell Safe Bus to the city. The Winston-Salem Transit Authority then assumed responsibility for public transportation, marking the end of one of the most successful Black-owned transit companies in American history.

America take note! It’s not left vs right. It’s the rich vs the poor.

THAT’S WHITE PRIVILEGE … Facts on Facts 💯 #KylaLacey

Charlie Pollard was a farmer in Macon County, Alabama. In the early 1930s he was in a crowd where government doctors were offering free blood tests, so he had one. He was told he had bad blood and should come back. For four decades he came back. He got rides to the clinic. He got hot meals on clinic days. He got aspirin, tonics, and spinal taps that were described to him as treatment and were actually diagnostic procedures for the study. He was promised burial money. What he was never given was penicillin, which became the standard cure in the late 1940s and which the study's doctors deliberately kept from him and from about four hundred other Black men, in order to watch untreated syphilis run its full course in the human body. Nobody ever told him he had syphilis. He said so afterwards, plainly: he did not know what he had. In July 1972 the Associated Press reporter Jean Heller broke the story, based on information from a public health worker named Peter Buxtun who had spent years trying to get someone to stop it. Pollard got a phone call from a reporter. That is how he found out. He went to a lawyer in Tuskegee named Fred Gray — the same Fred Gray who had represented Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King — and Pollard v. United States became the class action. It settled in 1974 for around $10 million and medical care for survivors and their families. The study had run for forty years. It was stopped by a journalist, not by a doctor, not by a court, not by Congress. In 1997 the survivors who were still alive were invited to the White House, and President Clinton apologised to them in person. Pollard was among the men in that room. He was in his nineties. He had walked into a free clinic in the 1930s because somebody offered him a blood test.

Right.
