Mike Rowe reveals Ford has 5,000 unfilled mechanic jobs paying $120,000 a year. No degree required. AI-proof. And Ford still can't fill them. ROWE: "Not a week goes by when I don’t get a call from some CEO... elected official... freaking out." "They’ve done the math: for every five tradespeople who retire, two come in. It’s been that way for about 12 years now." “Jim Farley (Ford CEO) told me he’s got 5,000 empty bays at Ford. These are AI-proof six-figure jobs, right? $120,000 a year. He can’t fill them.” In a separation conversation with Shawn Ryan, Rowe said he visited a Texas data center and met three “debt-free” electricians under 30 making “north of $240,000/year.” All three of those electricians have been “poached” three times in the last 18 months because the demand for electricians is crazy high. THE BIG TAKEAWAY: If you're thinking about college but aren't sure what you really wanna do, trade school might be the smarter play. Chances are, you'll take on a lot less debt, make a lot more money — and AI won't be coming for your job anytime soon.

Reminder that if you are fully vaccinated and up to date on boosters, you are allowed to celebrate the Fourth of July. Those vaccinated are even permitted to have a very small backyard barbecue. Five person maximum.

Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration. More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸

Never thought making BBQ videos in a yellow kitchen would lead to something like this. I’m honored to be inducted into the Barbecue Hall of Fame. From competing with my buddies and my brother, Waylon, with Killer Hogs… to my wife, Rachelle, filming me sharing recipes with HowToBBQRight… barbecue has given me lifelong friends and opportunities I’m incredibly grateful for. Thank you to my team, my friends, my family… thank you to everyone who watched or helped or supported me all these years. Truly humbled by this honor. And a big congrats to my fellow nominees… Carey Bringle from Peg Leg Porker, Ben Lang from Lang Smokers and Mark Lambert from Sweet Swine O’ Mine.

This is Pure Gold. I had the pleasure of spending time with Coach Holtz. I wanted to hear him explain his Three Rules for Life! 1) Do what’s right - trust. 2) Do everything to the best of your ability- commitment. 3) Show people you care - love. It’s pretty simple. He goes on to highlight why the transfer portal is ruining college football. The kids are losing out on the life lessons learned- how to persevere, how to be committed to a program and a group of people. You miss out on the bonds you create over 4 years. If you leave, you still have the problem, you are changing the address. These are words to live by.

.@AlabamaFTBL Coach Paul Bryant passed away 43 years ago today (Jan 26, 1983). I visited Coach Bryant’s gravesite today at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. It remains simple. Coke bottles, Golden Flake bags & coins surround the marker. @AlabamaFTBL @finebaum #CoachBryant
