We never really take love seriously as a treatment. We also underestimate fear as a cause of malady. Is fear a component of dystonia. Can feeling love overcome it? Why does our brain throw the parking brake on? Can we internally shut it off? @realmikefox @MichaelJFoxOrg

失うことについて 喪失体験は、心理学で検討されていますが、無くなったものを嘆くのも、不安や恐れを感じるのは誰しもが経験する心の反応だと思います。 一方で、失うという経験を悲しむことで、新しく生まれる気持ちや考え、新しいものとの出会いや体験する時間を作ることになる気がします。
おはようございます。 お医者さんに、パーキンソン病は自律神経という無意識で作用しているものがうまくいかないから、薬で調整して、なるべく辛くないようにしてるけれど、病人に変わりはない。と言われて納得したわけっす。
Mike is learning ping-pong in Uganda. He wants to learn and play with his father, Emmanuel, who has Parkinson’s. Often, exercise is the only medication available. When I suggest visiting places like this, it’s to educate/strengthen both them and us. @realmikefox @MichaelJFoxOrg

@WorldPDCongress I live about 190 miles SW of the convention center. Unfortunately, most of the folks that make up our local PD support group will have headed back North by mid-April. But I will be there if at all possible. Helpful hint: shorts, tank tops and sunscreen 👙🥵🌡️
Had Parkinson’s since 2008. I’ve seen dozens of new innovation/treatments/intelligence. It’s everywhere. Strong pipeline still. Far different life now than 2 decades ago. But life exactly same for so many. When do compassion/sacrifice make cut? When mental health truly u/stood?
I’m doing the usual thing of trying to sleep when I had such a strong smell of smoke I thought the house was on fire… Nope. First olfactory hallucination. What a joy. Why can’t us yopders have phantom smells like candy floss or Italian food? Bonfire smoke? #parkinsons
@ElizabethPeate7 I cannot stress how important these exercises are for memory. While I have seen this done in other countries, we need to incorporate more of these activities in the U.S.
