Trying to roughly & briefly sum up the taproot wizard exploit. Did I essentially get it right? Any big errors or *vital* nuance that I missed? Thanks guys. Listened to last hour of that recent 3 hour pod with @GrassFedBitcoin and @ToneVays Link in next tweet.
@FieldNas @GrassFedBitcoin @ToneVays You have summed up their position well enough. The question is, do you believe it? Unfortunately, by proposing relay filters as their solution, they have massively wasted everyone’s time and sold the community a bill of goods. Relay filters cannot possibly stop inscriptions.
@FieldNas @GrassFedBitcoin @ToneVays With respect Hammond of Texas, I spooled up a node on 13 year old hardware. It took me a week, but w/o a block size increase we’re still in really good shape.
@FieldNas @GrassFedBitcoin @ToneVays Very well done! I listened to the show also and got a little worried.
@FieldNas @BitMan_PoW @GrassFedBitcoin @ToneVays There are only vaild tx and invaild tx
@FieldNas @GrassFedBitcoin @ToneVays Great summary brother 🫡
@FieldNas @GrassFedBitcoin @ToneVays Yes. I'd also mention that since the space is limited any space taken by spam cannot be used to transact. Spam filters rate-limit the spam, and in turn the spam rate-limits legit transactions (i.e. it's a denial-of-service attack, or "anti-scaling technology" if you like).
