Oh hi Mark. Met Greg Sestero at @Belcourt’s midnight screening of Tommy Wiseau’s The Room. The audiobook of Greg’s The Disaster Artist used to accompany me on long drives, and I really do love it. These midnight screenings that have sprung from The Room are super fun. SPOON!

It’s been…ahem…a “few” years since I was an @MTSU student. Glad to be back today after I got an invite from Chip Walters to be co-emcee of the MTSU Homecoming Parade (thanks Chip!) I’m actually sporting the shirt I bought on a campus visit when I was a senior in high school.

Went to see Jaws on the big screen for its 50th! There’s something about the film’s practical effects, real settings, and focus on story/characters that have made it timeless. And with the ultimate credit going to Spielberg…the moments meant to punch…still punch. @AMCTheatres

You can often find the coolest stuff in mom and pop shops. This is Seventh Street Market in Paragould, Arkansas…where my dad gets catfish everyday. Inside…a whole wall covered in vintage Hot Wheels in the packaging. And. Yes. The catfish was good.

So. I was just thinking. You look at a lot of the great summer camp films (which include, of course, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, Addams Family Values, and Ernest Goes To Camp). Seems like the kids are always at camp all summer. Did anyone actually go to camp ALL summer?

Before catching the new @Superman tonight…giving this one a quick rewatch. 1980’s Superman II. It’s still so good. The 1978 film is right there with it, but I’m partial to II for the Zod/Ursa/Non stuff. The cast is perfect, the jokes land, and the big Metropolis battle is fuuun.

Time for Sheldon the cat’s latest movie selection. 1976’s Car Wash. I didn’t totally get this one as a kid, but now I enjoy it as a fun super 70s time capsule. Soundtrack’s killer. Bonus points for the appearance by The Pointer Sisters. Sheldon prefers to watch it upside down.
