We were honored to host Prof. Angharad Davies, Vice President for Learning at the Royal College of Pathologies and Clinical Professor at Swansea University Medical School, United Kingdom, and a distinguished Member of the Advisory Board of RAK College of Medicine, for an enlightening lecture on "Antimicrobial Resistance and Antibiotic Stewardship" at RAKMHSU campus. Prof. Davies highlighted the importance of antibiotic stewardship programs in optimizing patient care, combating antimicrobial resistance, and reducing the spread of infections. She provided the audience with the latest insights into the mechanisms employed by bacteria to resist antibiotics and the contributing factors to the development of antimicrobial resistance. The lecture fostered an interactive environment, with faculty and students actively engaging in discussions and exchanging ideas with Prof. Davies. It was a stimulating session that encouraged intellectual exploration and knowledge sharing. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Davies for her invaluable expertise in medical education and her valuable contributions as a member of the College of Medicine Advisory Board. #RAKMHSU #Medical #Antibiotic
