@Susanchf4 @IanRunkle What was so sad for me is she didn't shed a single tear over her sons statements - only her normal disagreement/shock look. The only time she showed emotion was when people spoke nice of her. I would have been bawling overs those statements if they were my children.

@Lizbethne30 I had a feeling the jury would choose a lesser bc of Otake downplaying the injuries. Nevertheless, he will never practice anesthesiology again. Perhaps the Biomed Eng job again...but his $1/2M+ days are over. And he has zero control while incarcerated. Huge win for society.

@sladdengop33955 @Lizbethne30 Emile was called by the state because Gerhardt called him after and allegedly confessed to him. The defense could've called the daughter as a character witness, but she can't offer anything admissible for the state as she wasn't there or communicated with like Emile.

@Lizbethne30 My verdict is Otake did not properly prepare for his closing. This is all over the place, with not only incomplete thoughts, but incomplete words as he rambles. What am I listening to? lol (I'm behind)

@Lizbethne30 I never considered the syringe being used to pop out the sim card - that made sense since there was no syringe or paper clip. And who carries paperclips with them these days anyway? lol

@sladdengop33955 @Lizbethne30 He fought hard, but it was the manner in which he fought. There was no need for him to be so rude and nasty to the state throughout the trial, and to the judge sometimes.

The Judge yelling "Approach!" during the objection of Otake's conviction question had me trying to get to the bench... He didn't sound too pleased with this line of questioning... #GerhardtKonig

Can we just put two buttons on the stand for #GerhardtKonig so he doesn't have to keep repeating himself and drinking out of his very unusual water bottle for a person in custody? Button 1. I do not recall Button 2. That sounds plausible

@Lizbethne30 He had a really creepy stare at the jury earlier today too. I wonder if he even realizes how awful his testimony is going - probably not.

#GerhardtKonig probably wasn't asking for updates on Arielle's job search because he could see it from his own screen - in real time. This man is showing everyone the signs you run from when you see them. Don't allow excuses for this type of behavior.

I'm behind, but why isn't Arielle's "emotional affair" making #GerhardtKonig all choked up today? Not even the mention of what a divorce would do to their kids. Funny how those tears work depending on who's asking the questions...

@Lizbethne30 Especially when yesterday he could recite the dates messages happened, how many messages were deleted, etc. This man knows every detail of Ari's conversations, probably more than Ari does.

It's fascinating to me that #GerhardtKonig talks about his behavior while tracking Arielle's phone like it's normal behavior. No hesitation whatsoever. 🫣

@Lizbethne30 Why does Otake have to be so dramatic in his arguments? LOL

So he tracked text messages, and possibly other forms of spying in his previous marriage? 🧐 Just another layer of his controlling behavior. #GerhardtKonig

@CollinRugg Why does this have to be the middle school I went to!? Ugh! Glad this creep is being held without bond. Hopefully the young girl can get appropriate help from this.
