@AndrewKSheaff Doesn’t the hip / trunk rotation allow for a stronger pull through?

There are no shortcuts to developing as a competitor. You don’t get better at handling pressure without being in it. The uncertainty, the consequences, the lack of control, that’s the environment you have to learn in. The more you face it, the more prepared you become.

@AndrewKSheaff Interestingly, we are beginning to see more hip issues in the swimming athlete than ever before - the new focus on underwaters has contributed to this uptick = the extra focus in the pool and with dry land programs that attempt to improve underwaters

@BlondeOfWar Thank you for sharing this. I always wondered what it looked like inside.

@AndrewKSheaff I believe I see what you are saying - once the backstroker sets his/her hand and catches the water, the trunk does not rotate through the pull phase - while in freestyle the trunk will rotate during the pull through phase to enhance the power - right?

@MinorSky3 @BeschlossDC The confederates did not like him - certainly would not have him on their $5 bill

@JTWhite_65 @joeypetersen8 To your point, I didn’t see Coach Franklin go out of his way to bring him to VT!

@AndrewKSheaff I notice Lilly King’s timing might change the last 15 meters as she approaches the wall and in a tight race. Am I seeing that correctly?

@AndrewKSheaff This is excellent! I always wondered what coaches do when they recognize an athlete is fatigued and their stroke falls apart in an attempt to make the interval ?

@AndrewKSheaff This is fantastic Per the athlete being patient, is there a split second where the hand glides before catching the water?

@AndrewKSheaff Catching up on your posts Have you commented on how breathing in freestyle impacts the balance of the stroke? In other words how poor breathing technique impacts the stroke?
