You are not going to like this tweet so turn away if you are likely to be triggered: I am a very optimistic person; I am a fighter for Western values and liberties; I am a dogged defender of science, reason, and common sense. I must say though that I am unsure that the West can recover from its multifront civilizational suicide. Yes, I've talked about these issues for decades and wrote a book about it but the past few weeks have crystallized the extent to which the problem has become intractable. It will be a long and ultimately bloody demise and the West will be the first society in recorded history to fully self-implode due to its parasitic ideological rapture. It is a gargantuan Greek tragedy that will shape the future of humanity. This is not hyperbole. Your grandchildren will pay a very high price for your "progressive" arrogance rooted in the pursuit of Unicornia that only exists in the recesses of deeply flawed parasitized minds.
@GadSaad You were right I didn't like the tweet but I don't disagree 😞. @KingAriPress Now I have to add a book to the mountain above my nightstand.
@GadSaad It will be ironic indeed if in pursuit of tolerance we creat and fuel the intolerance tha will destroy us
@GadSaad My hyper progressive son recently told me he was wrong about all of it. Even apologized.
Its been staring me in the face for a few years now. The collapse of western civilization. I don't really want to think about it, but sometimes it's impossible to ignore. I wish I didn't know history. But I do, and I've learned about all the prosperous societies that have fallen to the barbarians at the gates - not because of the strength of the barbarians but because of their internal weaknesses: complacency and arrogance. W.B. Yeats' poem, "The Second Coming sort of mocks me when I'm in this mood. "And what rough beast, it's hour come. round at last, Slouches toward Bethlehem to be born?"
@GadSaad @EsteeStimler Are you too scared to say what you mean? It’s unclear
The only thing I will say is historically anytime there’s been a more liberal change in culture or values, conservatives genuinely genuinely feel it’s the end of civil society and dangerous. The question is, can we historically point to any one time in history, besides stories of Sodom and Gomorrah, when liberalization of a society led to catastrophe? Has this ever caused true collapse? In history, what seems to cause collapse of society is focus on too much war and expansion (Rome, Germany, USSR etc) a return to fundamental religious ideology (Iran, ISIS), or squashing freedom. I don’t think there’s historically a society that fell because people became too liberal. Maybe we’d be the first.
I fear that you are right. I took my daughter back to Americana this weekend, so that she can experience a simpler way of life. We went to this lovely gem for lunch and had bbq's, footlong hotdogs, and Italian Ice Twist Cones. We got to see real Elk, Bears, and Buffalo. Highly recommend.
@GadSaad Sometimes societies awaken from their destructive torpor to find they have a problem that will lead to destructive conflict.
@GadSaad There is a flip side to the coin, that with the tactics of unconventional warfare on full display people will wake up and take control of their government again. No, the odds are not great. But everything about freedom and the founding of the United States was against all odds.
@GadSaad My grandchildren are being raised to homestead. My 13 and 12 year olds are being raised to understand they need to be able to do stuff. They are home schooled with a private tutor that teaches all the real history. Raising the future leaders. Cos they know stuff 😂
