Life is trail and error. You have to accept an error when it lands on your lap.

@savsays If we’re going to critique tactics, that’s fair. But turning this into “white libs hate Black working moms” or “immigrants are more important” is bad-faith framing meant to inflame, not inform. This isn’t journalism. It’s performative grievance theater. You need to do better.

@savsays It’s intellectually dishonest to pit struggles against each other. A mother needing to get to work and a protester advocating for immigrants are not enemies, UNLESS someone decides to make them so. Like this tweet just did.

@savsays Let’s be real. You didn’t just witness white liberals stop traffic. You witnessed a protest. messy, inconvenient, and disruptive by design. That’s the point of civil disobedience. Every major movement, from civil rights to women’s suffrage, has disrupted “normal life”.

@savsays If it was an issue important to her she would raise hell. or better yet, if it affected her she’d be in protest. Guy in the green shirt made a good point “ooh no, work”. That mentality only keep you stuck on the hamster wheel.

@rottengirl I remember at a Hispanic event, there were some people with no Hispanic background. It was odd to see them there. Some mentioned how they’re there for the career fair. It makes sense tho, they’re doing what’s best for them.

It’s hard not to center your identity around your pain. You are more than your trauma. Self-abandonment is still a form of abandonment, so give yourself grace and compassion. You are beautiful and deserving of love.
